Finally a 2PM performance I can talk about...this is very non-2PM-ish...that's not even a word, but it is very interesting to see them do this. I'm still bummed out that ALL of my favorite idols weren't in attendance, but I can deal with just 2PM and Big Bang.

OMG...I'm just speechless...it's not even their comeback but I'm amazed at this performance. How can something so simple be so great? LOOK FORWARD TO G.D. AND T.O.P. ON DECEMBER 15TH!!!

I'm glad 2PM won so many awards, but I am kind of sad too...I think it was a really stiff competition amongst the nominees, and I don't really know how the votes are made. Fans are allowed to vote online, and according to the online vote results here: http://www.allkpop.com/2010/11/fans-vote-results-for-the-2010-mama-released the results are completely different.

What do you think? Which results do you think are fair or better? I don't know how to base my votes, because I feel that there are a lot of deserving artists out this year. There have been a lot of great comebacks. Granted, I think the female awards were fair, it is the year of 2NE1 and Miss A, even though I'm not a fan...but for the men, it is really hard to decide. I should have seen it coming. Aside from Rain, all the people that were present at the ceremony were the winners, just like American award shows...and this year, A LOT of artists wasn't going to be there...I'm kind of happy, but sad too. It just didn't seem like a fair fight. But I'm also glad that I'm not the one deciding, I really have no idea.

On a final note though, I mean, 2PM definitely came back with a bang this year, and Super Junior never fails to amaze me. But I feel that this year was BEAST's year. They had 2 comebacks before the awards, and they are in the middle of their 3rd comeback for this year! The songs on their album are great, and they have great performances...but maybe next year then. They definitely deserve to win, and I feel that they will get there. They have a lot of potential and I look forward to the day they beat out their sunbaes. I guess I have to look forward to this year's Gayo Daejun and see who will take home the biggest award of all...I hope at least BEAST will win at the end of this year. Speaking of, I didn't get to post their comeback, it definitely is my favorite song so far.

Idols' Personal Lives Have Nothing To Do With Us

I don’t know who to be outraged at, because I don’t know who these fans are, but I will just generalize them…they are obsessively possessive people who devote themselves to a certain person or group, but once that person/group doesn’t meet their expectations, they viciously turn on them. There probably is a word for that, you can figure out what that word is. Never in my life have I heard of such crazy people…I mean, living in America, I’ve seen and dealt with crazy fans, but never like this. I’ve talked about these type of people when they were ruining my 2PM’s lives, but now these type of people have resurfaced again. I don’t want to say it’s just the Korean fans in S. Korea, because I’m not sure…but this is really getting ridiculous. Why hasn’t an issue like this been brought up and discussed? Why hasn’t anyone publicly come out and say that their actions are wrong?

Okay, before I get carried away, let me tell you what I’m trying to talk about. Kim Jonghyun from SHINee has officially announced that he is dating Korean actress Shin Se Kyung and it has been news in the Kpop world since it was announced. I’m not a fan of Jonghyun, but I am of SHINee, and I don’t even know his girlfriend, but I can see that they are happy, and I’m glad that they chose not to hide their relationship. I hate it when artists deny relationships, but now I understand why…fans can go crazy because of it. Shin Se Kyung had to shut down her mini-homepage because of all the hateful comments she was getting, and a lot of Jonghyun fan sites have been shut down with anti-fan sites taking its place.

It’s unbelievable how these fans can get upset over something that has NOTHING to do with them whatsoever. Being a fan means being “the regular supporters and enthusiasts of a team, musician or musical group, entertainer, or other celebrity”…I don’t see it meaning being possessive of people you don’t really know yet having such high expectations for them that if they don’t reach it, you will hate them.

I know these celebrities have to work hard enough as it is, getting injuries, hospitalized, being worked to their breaking points just to satisfy and please fans that will turn on them in a second and make money for other people. I feel bad for celebrities everywhere, because they get their private lives invaded by everyone. They’re just people. I mean, so what if they chose that as their job, it wasn’t to please anyone, it was because that’s what they wanted to do, that’s what made them happy. How would you like it if someone wanted to know your personal business? It doesn’t matter who that person is, a person’s life is their business, no one else’s. It’s bad enough that we have to explain our actions to the people in our lives, to the ones who might not approve of who we are and what we do, but why does anyone have to get approval from complete strangers? If you’re going to support a celebrity, then do that, what are you expecting in return? They try their best to make people happy, and still get crap for it.

It’s one thing for netizens to blow a small matter out of proportion and practically kicked someone out of the country for supposedly being “unpatriotic”, but it’s another thing to get angry when a celebrity you don’t personally know decides to get in a relationship. I don’t get these people? Do they expect their idols to be single for the rest of their lives? Wake up! I always thought idols never admitted to relationships because it was forbidden somehow, but I didn’t think it could be because of this ridiculous situation.

I watched an episode of Strong Heart on it when Se7en was opening up about his girlfriend for the very first time on TV. He was with her for about 7 or 8 years, and while he was in America some scandals arose surrounding her…you can look it up to learn more…but he decided to admit on his homepage that he was in a relationship with her. I guess since he’s been in the business for so long, no one really cares, I don’t know. But SHINee is extremely popular, they’re like the Jonas Brothers over here. But I guess their fans are crazier. Both Jonghyun and Se Kyung are 21 years old, and they are adults who should be allowed to do whatever they want to. It’s their lives, they’re not supposed to live it for anyone else.

I just hate that this stuff happens. What kind of people are they? Don’t they realize that their overreactions can ruin people’s lives? I can’t laugh at the situation, because it happens so often over the dumbest things. I’ve watched stories about Korean celebrities wanting to commit suicide because of haters like that. They need to get a life, one of their own, and not try to live other people’s lives. I hope that this doesn’t affect SHINee, because it shouldn’t. I hope it doesn’t hurt those poor boys…who are younger than 2PM, by the way…I don’t want them to suffer for something this stupid and childish and petty…Cuz I will be pissed.

It’s crazy that just recently in America that they bring up the issue of bullying, when it happens everywhere, and has been happening for a long time now. Forget the cancer or diseases, what we need to get rid of is cyber bullying. This is more dangerous and hurtful than possibly getting physically hurt elsewhere…these kinds of scars take a lifetime to heal. How long are we going to let these people get away with ruining people’s lives like this? Because that is not what you call having any kind of freedom, it’s just abusing that freedom. It’s just so wrong that all these people can get away with doing and saying such hateful things.

2PM Came Back to Win K-Chart on Music Bank

I'm very proud, and not so surprised...I hope they continue to do well before they have to go to Japan, and I know they'll do fine out there...I love I'll Be Back, but the more I watch their performances, the less excited I get...I used to look forward to seeing their outfits, and performances...but now, not so much. I still feel that they are not the same 2PM I know and love, and feel that something is missing somehow. Are they working too hard? Possibly. But where is that spark, that excitement that I used to jump off my computer screen and make me feel like I was actually watching them live? I haven't seen them in concert since there were 7 of them, so I can't really compare...Don't get me wrong, I love this album, and I love that the boys have all improved so much...Chansung singing when all he did was rap...Khun dancing, rapping, and singing very well when he couldn't do either, especially in Korean...They do so well in variety shows, but they rarely get a chance to be on as much as they used to when they were newbies. The Idol Army and Wild Bunny days were the best. I feel that was when we got to see the real, pure, innocent 2PM...but now I feel like they're a bit damaged, hurt...which is understandable. No offense, but I feel like the BEAST boys are quickly catching up, with variety shows, incredible musical talent, and awards to boot. I looked forward to watching BEAST's performance than 2PM's. I feel like they should stay in Korea. I feel like they are back, but not fully...maybe this album and song came out too soon? I mean, look at Super Junior and the issues with their members. They didn't lose 1, they kind of lost 3...I'm sure those members always will be a part of Super Junior, but it seems they bounced back pretty well. They showed a united front, and that they were going to move forward with the support of their fans. 2PM's two comebacks can't really compare to Super Junior's only comeback this year, and they were missing 3 members...but you still felt that they were still Super Junior, they were still the same performers...Maybe it's the companies they come from, I don't know...but I hope 2PM can go back to being the 2PM that blew me away...I will always be their fan no matter what...I just hope that they can come back from Japan better than ever...and prove to everyone that they are still 2PM, the real 2PM...I don't know if you understand what I'm saying, but I was just putting this out there.

2PM I'll Be Back...Comeback

Too bad the cameraman is really weird, and getting footage of fingers and feet instead of their faces when they're performing. I love the look, and the shorter hair for some. Khun looks friggin' adorable in that sweatband/headband. I kinda wish they went back to the 2PM I remember, with a great stage presence and acrobatics...What's up JYP? These boys are full of talent and passion, they have the skills and ability to do so much more, I feel like they are so limited to just this when I know they are capable of so much more.

Forgot to post BEAST's comeback...I'm so proud of these boys, 2 wins in a row from MCountdown. It seems like they're doing well for themselves, and following in 2PM's footsteps since they are kind of from the same company, but very different talents and styles. I love their Mastermind album!

Still 2PM

Love them or hate them, this video has been one of the most viewed and most popular video on YT since its release. This is so similar to the hype around their Again & Again album...the only difference is, they're still doing well in spite of their troubles...that's why they are still 2PM. I'm glad they are coming back right before they go debut in Japan. I just wish they'd stay in Korea a little longer, so I could see them on more variety shows, but I wish them all the best, and I know they'll do well. I look forward to their comeback performance on MCountdown this Thursday! I will definitely be posting that.

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho Episode 16: The Tearful End

It has finally come to an end, although, I wish there were more to watch. This definitely has become one of my all-time favorite dramas, with the right amount of comedy and drama. To utter the same words as my niece, "Is there a sequel?" I wish...how great would it be to have "My Child is a Gumiho"? LOL

I would normally recap the episode, but I really don't want to spoil it for anyone. This is a drama that shouldn't be spoiled. Whoever comes across my blog, even ten or twenty years from now, I want them to be able to watch this episode with no indication on how it ends...because I want you to enjoy the experience. The whole, "is she going to die?" aspect of this whole drama.

There wasn't a lot I was sure of in regards to this drama. I wasn't sure where it was heading, and what was going to happen next, but one thing I am sure of is that this is one definitely true love story...between two beings who are literally worlds apart, but still able to love each other unconditionally and sacrificially.

This has to be one of my favorite scenes between Dong Joo and Dae Woong, because it finally opens up Dong Joo's eyes about Dae Woong, and especially about love. Dong Joo tells Dae Woong that the only way Mi Ho can live is if he takes the bead and holds it in his body to give it the rest of his human ki. After 100 days, Dong Joo would return for the bead. Dong Joo was shocked to see that Dae Woong, without questions or hesitation, practically took a one-shot of the bead. Then firmly tells Dong Joo to come back for it. The look on Dong Joo's face was priceless, because he expected Dae Woong to not do it. This whole time he spent it telling Mi Ho that her love was just a fantasy, but he got to see for his own eyes what Dae Woong was willing to do for love. It wasn't love for just anyone, but something completely not human.

Too bad that was a lie, because Mi Ho was still going to die. Dong Joo finally tells Dae Woong the truth, and I think he has finally learned his lesson. Thank goodness. He meets Mi Ho at the airport, because they are supposed to leave and tells her that in the past, he thought that love meant doing what the person wanted you to do for them. But now he realized that love meant doing what's truly best for that person, and for once, he finally knows what's best for Mi Ho. He finally acknowledges that she wants to spend her remaining days with Dae Woong, that's why he tells Dae Woong the truth.

Mi Ho and Dae Woong spend the remaining days together, attending Dae Woong's aunt's wedding, and creating more memories together. Dae Woong does everything in his power to try to hide how devastated he is by Mi Ho's departure, because he doesn't want her to see him in that condition.

They go to the gym for the very last few minutes together, going back to where it all started. Mi Ho tells Dae Woong to close his eyes and pretend that it is all a dream, so that when he opens his eyes, it won't hurt. She keeps telling him to pretend it all was a really really good dream.

Once he opens his eyes, Mi Ho is gone. He keeps asking himself if it all was a dream, recalling every moment he shared with Mi Ho. The most heartbreaking thing he said at this moment was, "If this was all a dream, then why does it hurt so much?"

That's the extent I'm willing to share, so you can see how extremely tragic their love story is, and also how life-changing love can be, no matter who it is you choose to love. Dae Woong was upset when he found out that even after leaving Mi Ho, she was still dying, and you can see the regret in his eyes for not using that time wisely. I have never seen a man in a drama cry this way, like you could really see that his heart was breaking. I have to give props to Lee Seung Gi for being an extremely talented actor and also for Shin Min Ah for playing a very convincing gumiho. I couldn't picture any two actors that could even come close to filling their shoes for this role. There were A LOT of tears in this drama, from the characters, from the viewers...but it wasn't too much. When Dae Woong or Mi Ho cried, you cried with them, feeling what they were feeling...they pulled you into who they portrayed, they made you root for them (Mi Ho) or want to smack them in the head (Dae Woong). I will definitely not forget this drama, and I am so glad that I decided to give it a chance. There is not one episode that I didn't like watching, because even the bad things were interesting to watch. I'm totally in love with this drama now!!!

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho Episode 15: The Hidden Tragedy

I knew it!!! I knew Dong Joo wanted Mi Ho all to himself. He sees her as his second chance of love, and I have never hated his character more than in this episode.

In episode 15, it continues with Dae Woong thinking Mi Ho is gone, and Mi Ho wandering around pretty close to where Dae Woong is. He hears the name Park Sun Joo, and automatically assumes it’s Mi Ho…too bad he got the wrong girl, because Mi Ho happened to be just across the street. I hate the moments in dramas where the main characters are so close to each other, but don’t realize the other person is there. It happens A LOT in this episode that it gets a little frustrating to watch.

So Mi Ho goes to Dong Joo’s place, and they talk about having Mi Ho show Dae Woong that she is living a well and happy life by inviting him to their wedding…I know! I couldn’t believe it, I mean, I figured as much, but it’s still as shocking. It seems that Mi Ho is still not well, but then Dong Joo keeps talking about how Mi Ho should just let go and live her life. Mi Ho then goes into Dong Joo’s basement to get a look at her bead. So she no longer has the bead inside her, but Dong Joo isn’t aware of it.

What I hate about Dong Joo is that he refuses to see how clearly unhappy Mi Ho is with him. As if somehow she could just stop loving Dae Woong and move on with her life. What makes me angry is that, if she actually is well, then why can’t she go be with Dae Woong? Or if she is dying, how is it easier to just go away and let Dae Woong misunderstand that she’s happy when in fact she is slowly dying? I’m completely confused at this point. Dong Joo is the only one happy and making plans for his future with Mi Ho, while both she and Dae Woong are clearly miserable.

Dae Woong takes Dong Ja out for a walk since his aunt is planning her wedding to the director, and he goes into the store for a second, but Dong Ja ends up running towards Mi Ho. We find out that Mi Ho has been going to the park by Dae Woong’s house everyday just so she could see Dong Ja, and she’s feeding and talking to Dong Ja, wishing it were a fox so she could find out about Dae Woong. Right when Mi Ho leaves, Dae Woong realizes Dong Ja is missing and looks for her. He finds her, but the dog won’t move and then just runs off, which is perfect because both Mi Ho and Dae Woong get to see each other for the first time.

It is obviously awkward between the both of them, but mostly Dae Woong wants to find out if Mi Ho is okay. They talk for a bit to realize that Dong Ja is gone, so they both try to look for her. Dae Woong calls his grandpa and realizes Dong Ja made her way home. That cute little dog probably wanted to give the lovers some time alone.

Mi Ho is still upset and suggests they go look for Dong Ja together. I’m thinking Dae Woong would agree, so they could spend more time together, but that only makes Dae Woong question if Mi Ho is really okay. Dae Woong asks Mi Ho why she can’t just smell for Dong Ja, and she comes up with an excuse that there are too many dogs around and it confuses her. Then he asks if she heard the conversation between him and his grandfather since she wasn’t that far away from him, then she responds by saying their surrounding is too loud. He starts to question her about her powers and she tries to leave but he grabs her wrist. She tells him to let her go, only for him to realize she didn’t use her strength to get out of his grip. She just comes up with an excuse that people are around, and she doesn’t want them to see her take down a man and think she’s a monster, like what he called her. Ouch, she used what he had to say to her to leave against him. He’s not convinced that she’s better, so he ends up following her, hoping he’ll get to see her tail at night. He keeps coming up with excuses to stay with her longer, like having her buy him meat and soda…It’s cute to see Dae Woong be the stalker this time around. I like how they took the story to the beginning, and having Dae Woong do the things Mi Ho did when she was first following him. He follows her to the bus stop and pretend to not feel well, which concerns Mi Ho, but she realizes that he’s lying once he mentions her bead.

Dae Woong is worried about Mi Ho, but there’s nothing he could do about it. On top of that, everyone in his life knows about Mi Ho’s wedding with Dong Joo but him. Mi Ho starts feeling pain from her next death, but hides it from Dong Joo. He catches her in his basement, where he finds out that she is still dying. But that doesn’t stop him from continuing with their wedding. They go to check out their wedding hall the next day, at the same time Dae Woong is going with his aunt to check out her wedding hall. Dae Woong finally sees Mi Ho with Dong Joo, and finally realizes that they are getting married. He’s extremely hurt, realizing on his own that she is living well without him, so he doesn’t have to worry about her. Mi Ho tells him that she will be leaving after her wedding, so he should go so they can say good-bye. Dae Woong rejects her invitation, and she just says good-bye to him there. Of course, her good-bye really means she never will see him again because she will no longer exist.

At Dong Joo’s, Mi Ho flips through an album of pictures of Dae Woong, showing that she went to China to watch him film. This is something even Dong Joo wasn’t aware of. She then realizes she wants her photo album, which she left at the action school, she tells Dong Joo she needs to get it, but he tries to stop her. He’s asking her to just let all those things go and move on, but she tells him she can’t. He’s subtly asking if there’s a chance she could forget Dae Woong and move on with him, but she clearly shows him that she can’t. It is so obvious that she will love Dae Woong until the day she dies, but he refuses to see it, thinking that by living with her for eternity, that she’d somehow change her mind or something.

Meanwhile, Sun Nyeo goes through pictures from China and spots Mi Ho in one of them. She shows Hye In and Byung Soo who say it is impossible, and Dae Woong gets a hold of it and realizes Mi Ho was actually with him in China. Mi Ho goes to the action school and sees all her things that remind her of Dae Woong and wanted to take them all with her, but ends up just taking the album. She goes to the countdown board and crosses off the days that have passed. She hears someone at the door and rushes to hide in the bathroom. Then finds out Dae Woong is in the room, but she doesn’t know he’s looking for the album too. He sees the board with the days crossed off and pretends to leave. As Mi Ho leaves the room, she runs into Dae Woong outside.

He confronts her about being in China and that she isn’t getting better, but she tries to deny everything. Dae Woong is insistent on wanting to see her tails, which makes her run away, but he catches up to her in the gym. He keeps asking her to show her tails, and she decided to stop running and to just show him. She takes a few steps back and lets him see her one and only tail. She tells him she couldn’t stop it, and that she will disappear.

What I liked seeing in this episode was how different Mi Ho has become because of Dae Woong. She was someone who couldn’t really lie, she was too innocent to, and if people paid attention, they could tell she was lying. But now, practically everything out of her mouth was a lie. It was weird to see how cold she was towards Dae Woong when all through out the drama she was always so loving and affectionate. I think she learned that from him, knowing that he left her so that she could get better, and she knew how he would feel to know that she wasn’t getting better. She was someone who would cry whenever Dae Woong left her, but now that he refuses to leave her, and now that she’s dying, she has become stronger than ever. She is losing all her strength, but she is emotionally stronger than she used to be. I think it’s because she has accepted her fate, and is just waiting for her last day on earth. She’s putting on a brave face because she doesn’t want to upset the people that care about her.

In the last episode, Dae Woong chose to leave Mi Ho because he loves her so much that he wanted her to leave…but in this episode, it shows that Mi Ho loves Dae Woong so much that she can’t live without him. She was willing to let him believe she was happy and well with someone else, instead of letting him know that she was slowly dying.

This is the one thing I hate about dramas, no matter what country it is from. Every time one person has to die, they always leave the person they love in order to spare them pain from having to watch them die. It isn’t strength to leave a person you love so they won’t get hurt from your death. What anyone should do, in fantasy or reality, is to face it together. Whether it be a month or a year, you should stay by the people you love. You should spend your last remaining days with them so both of you can have peace. It is much worse to lose someone you love and not be there to say good-bye. The person dying may get peace from knowing the person they love isn’t around to see them in such a weak state, but the person that is suffering the loss would feel so much more pain and regret.

I really hope this ends well, because it doesn’t seem like it will. Surprisingly, the most selfish person through out this drama is Dong Joo. Mi Ho, the “monster”, was the most caring and thoughtful person in the whole drama. Dae Woong did take advantage of Mi Ho at the beginning, but at least he felt guilty about it. At least whenever she was upset, he was there to cheer her up and comfort her. Hye In was one absolute b****, but at least she genuinely cared about Dae Woong, she was plenty jealous and vindictive, but at least she cared about someone other than herself. But Dong Joo, he had his own motives behind everything he did, and none of which were actually to help Mi Ho. If he cared about her, he wouldn’t have tried so hard to split her up with Dae Woong knowing how much they both loved each other. He would have seen how miserable she was and let her be with the person she loves. But even to the very end, like I mentioned in my last post, he tries to hold on for desperate life, hoping to redeem himself from his past mistake, at the risk of Mi Ho’s happiness.

I’m really hoping he actually does try to redeem himself the right way, and I hope that it is possible for him to give Mi Ho his half-human side. I don’t know how that will work, but they better work it out somehow. That’s not fair for Dong Joo to live twice, while two gumihos die because of his selfishness.

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho Episode 14: The Sacrifice

I’m was hesitant to watch episode 14, because of how sad I knew it was going to be…and I cried all through out. I did like the beginning, where Dae Woong and Mi Ho stayed confidently in love, with not much to worry about…but of course, with every action, there are consequences. Even though their love should have beat fate, Dong Joo still had them beat.

Dae Woong and Mi Ho weren’t really sure what was happening, the only thing they were sure of was that Dae Woong lost half of his life. But according to a fortune teller, Dae Woong was to live til 120, so he’s got plenty of time left. Mi Ho on the other hand, would change into a gumiho without her knowledge. Dae Woong wasn’t sure what to make of the situation, so he went to the only person he knew could help. Dong Joo told him that his blood, the gumiho’s blood, and Dae Woong’s ki weren’t mixing in well, that’s why Mi Ho was like that. And in this episode, we find out that Dong Joo is half-phantom, whatever that’s supposed to be. The phantom blood was supposed to kill the gumiho blood, and the human ki was supposed to turn her human. But I guess with all that stuff mixed in her at this time, Dong Joo isn’t exactly sure of what will happen. The phantom blood will either mix well in Mi Ho, or it will continue to kill her. The only way to know for sure was to wait until the 55th day, and if Mi Ho loses another tail, then it means by the 100th day, she will die.

Dae Woong waited, but Mi Ho excitedly tells him that she lost another tail, and she thinks it means she’s still able to become human. Not willing to lose her, he desperately seeks Dong Joo for help. He informs Dae Woong that Mi Ho is refusing to accept herself and wanting to become human, therefore the blood won’t mix well within her. Dae Woong tells Dong Joo that he accepts Mi Ho as human or gumiho, but it really isn’t up to him. Dong Joo tells him the only way Mi Ho can live is if she stops trying to become human, and the only way for her to change her mind is if Dae Woong is no longer by her side. Dae Woong points out what I wanted to, that at first one had to live and the other had to die, and now in order for them both to live together, they have to separate. I don’t accept these kinds of consequences, that’s just so wrong.

I feel like this is a tragic love story, and I thought the worst was having one person die, but it’s not. The worst is having these two lovers love each other, but not be able to be together, that’s much worse than death. I hate that Dong Joo did everything in his power to split up the couple, only now to use Dae Woong’s love to break them up. He couldn’t do it, Hye In couldn’t, but only Dae Woong can and Dong Joo finally got the perfect opportunity to split them up. I’m really starting to think he really did want Mi Ho all to himself.

Dae Woong makes up his mind and decides to let Mi Ho go, so that she can live. The sad thing about watching this episode is that Dae Woong is purposely being cruel to Mi Ho because he loves her too much, and Mi Ho loves Dae Woong so much that she’s willing to try to become human, not realizing the risk. They’re both making sacrifices, but Dae Woong is making the biggest sacrifice of all. On Mi Ho’s quest to become human, she failed tragically, but she was able to make Dae Woong into a decent human being. He completely changed for her, and now he has to let her go. Going as far as calling her a monster, so she would believe that he wants nothing to do with her. He cries secretly, while it rains, and cries even more knowing that Mi Ho is causing the rain. The episode ends with Dae Woong coming back from China a month later, Dong Joo’s shop is closed, and Mi Ho is walking around using her Park Sun Joo identity. Dae Woong thinks Mi Ho is with Dong Joo, but somehow, I don’t think she is…I hope she isn’t. At this point, I completely hate Dong Joo, because from beginning to end, he’s only tried to do one thing, and it was to do what he thought was best for Mi Ho. I hope she doesn’t go to him for anything, and I hope she finds out he has always wanted to separate her and Dae Woong.

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho Ep 13: The Risk

I've noticed a habit with dramas, they start the week on a very high note, then end it on an extremely low one. But in Korean dramas, there are no gray areas, they don't make compromises, they get you on Cloud 9 then drop you flat on the ground without any notice. I was finally able to to watch episode 13, after reading recaps for it on dramabeans, while I was out of town. Last week ended with Dae Woong and Mi Ho vowing to protect each other, and this week ends with both of them vowing to never die for each other. This is exactly what you think, Dae Woong finally finds out what Mi Ho finally knows.

This week, Mi Ho knows about both of their fates and she decides to give up her own life in order to protect Dae Woong. After all, the only reason why she wanted to become human was because she felt Dae Woong would love her. But now she's completely content with knowing Dae Woong really likes her, even if it is for 51 more days. At this point, Dae Woong is finally willing to put his all into the relationship, because he realizes that Mi Ho trusts him with her life, and he wants her to be able to have one, with him. He asks her out on an official date, and she willingly accepts.

He takes her for some ice cream, and instead of buying her normal flavors, he buys her flavors: cow=brown, chicken=yellow, pig=pink. He sees a couple, the same ones that Mi Ho learned her love arrows from on their fake date, and tries to express his feelings for Mi Ho in similar ways. He basically does what she tried to do the last time, but she barely notices LOL. It's funny to see the tables turned, to watch Dae Woong try to get Mi Ho's attention with cute signs of affection, only to get overlooked. Serves him right for last time.

They take a walk by a fountain with lights, and Dae Woong shows Mi Ho how to make a wish. She wishes that Dae Woong won't be too hurt once she's gone, that he'll never forget her, and to occasionally call out her name so that she can always remain in his heart.

They go back to the loft where Mi Ho sees that Dae Woong has added her name to her life plans. She takes the paper down, telling him she was rushing into things, and that she just wants to focus on the next 50 days, which kind of disappoints Dae Woong. So he starts sharing his thoughts on their future, of spending seasons and holidays with her, while Mi Ho is imagining it. He asks her specifically about the things she would want to do and the first thing she mentions is going to the zoo. Dae Woong subtly tries to reject the idea, but ends up compromising.

The next day, Mi Ho goes to see Dong Joo, just to find where he put his dagger. That confirms Dong Joo's suspicions because he remembered her watching him when he put it away the last time. It upsets him when he realizes Mi Ho is willing to kill herself just to protect Dae Woong. He points out that even if she dies, Daewoong will just move on and love someone else, that he won't be devoted to her forever. I think in a way, he is kind of letting her know that no human can be as devoted as he as been to Gil-Dal. He just rains on her parade, bursts her bubble, like he always does with every negative hypothetical situation possible. She ends up discouraged and begins to doubt Dae Woong's devotion. I think she takes Dong Joo's words to heart every time, because she trusts him, and she feels they have something in common. If she didn't care about him, she wouldn't take his words to heart all the time. That's what I love about her, even though Dong Joo is trying to separate her and Dong Joo, she's still his friend and she still trusts him, something Dong Joo needs to learn about people in general. I feel that she's more human than any real humans in the show. She's more caring, honest, loyal, thoughtful, and selfless than anyone on the show. Everyone has had their selfish moments, but not her, she has always thought of Dae Woong and everyone else, that's why I love her character so much. She's supposed to be some monster, but she's a lot more innocent and trusting than humans.

When she gets to the loft, she starts asking Dae Woong hypothetical life or death questions like: if we were hanging off a cliff and there is only one rope, would you let me have that rope? He doesn't take her seriously, so he responds with jokes. It's strange, normally he answers her questions truthfully because he knows she takes everything he says literally, but now he is always joking her. I think it's because he thinks she knows how he feels about her, when she doesn't. At this point, all she wants is to hear him tell her he would save her first, without having to tell him the truth. Even as humans, hypothetical questions lead to dangerous territory. People will always respond hypothetically, because the questions all depend on the person asking more than the situation.

The next day, she gets mad at him for not remembering minor details that she remembers about their relationship, especially about her wanting to go to the zoo, so she storms off. She only sees that Dae Woong can't even remember the simple but significant things when it comes to her. She doesn't know that humans never really remember those things. I think it's great that this drama pointed out that the simple things in life are the most significant. It shouldn't be overlooked because once that person is gone, you will always wish you took the time to pay more attention to those minor details and joys in life. She goes to see the chicken shop ajuhmma and asks her if people move on after they've lost a loved one and the ajuhmma points out that people have to move on, that they can't live their lives in mourning, it's not doing anything for the dead or the living.

She goes back to the loft but Dae Woong has locked her out and refuses to let her see him. Mi Ho apologizes but feels Dae Woong is angry with her, so she bursts open the door and sees that Dae Woong is packing a lunch for their trip to the zoo. Afterwards, they go to dinner at Daewoong's grandfather's house. Dae Woong uses it as an attempt to get Mi Ho back on her life plan. Mi Ho then finds out how Dae Woong truly feels about her when the grandfather told her how special she must be for Dae Woong to go to the zoo with her. He tells her that when Dae Woong was little, his parents got into a car accident on their way back from the zoo, and that was how he lost them. He tells her that ever since then, Dae Woong was never able to go anywhere near the zoo. It pleased the grandpa to see Mi Ho have such a positive affect on his grandson, but it only made Mi Ho feel guilty. All she wanted was to make memories with Dae Woong, but she didn't realize how painful it must have been for him.

Dae Woong had planned to take Mi Ho with him while he was filming in China, but Dong Joo ends up finding out through Hye In, and then tells her the risk of Dae Woong helping Mi Ho. She stops Dae Woong from meeting Mi Ho at the airport and tells him the whole truth that Dong Joo was keeping. Instead of running away, he goes to Mi Ho. Meanwhile, Dong Joo finds Mi Ho waiting and tells her that Dae Woong knows about losing his life without the bead. He tells her to let go of her idea of love (I swear, he is the poster boy for pessimism). He tries to convince her again how unfaithful and untrustworthy humans are when it comes to love. That is partly true even in real life. But then, he is half-human, so does that mean he is only half-devoted? Well, Dong Joo wants to take Mi Ho to Japan, since it's convenient they're at the airport, but Mi Ho finds the opportunity to run away from him.

She runs out of the airport and starts to walk away, but Dae Woong sees her from across the road and calls out to her. He tells her that he doesn't accept that either one of them has to die. He tells her to take the bead from him right now, so they can decide their own fates and not let fate decide for them.

They can bear with the consequences and that if they live or die, then they'll do it together. He's not sure of what will happen, but is just satisfied that Dong Joo won't know either. They say they love each other and that they promise to not die for the other person, which is when Dae Woong kisses Mi Ho, and she retrieves the bead.

Okay, I may have been on the fence about how I felt about Dong Joo, but now I'm sure that I definitely don't like him. At first, I was happy that he was so helpful and kind to Mi Ho. I commended him for being able to accept Mi Ho and tried to protect her, but ever since he found out she's a part of who Gil-Dal used to be, he's been completely selfish. He keeps saying he doesn't want history to repeat itself, of the gumiho he betrayed that died because of the betrayal from a human she loved, so he wants to avoid that, right? Well, he learned the wrong lesson. He learned that humans can not be trusted because they are selfish, and I can't believe he's basing his general view on one guy from over a thousand years ago. I get that he feels guilty, but no one told him to kill Gil-Dal, he chose to. What he should have learned is that he doesn't really know what's best, not for Gil-Dal, and definitely not for Mi Ho. He should have learned to respect someone's decision on how they want to live their life and focus on his own. If he truly loved or cared for either gumihos, then he should want them happy. He makes decisions for Mi Ho and tries to convince her that it's right. I understand that he wants to protect Mi Ho, but not at the risk of her happiness. I don't get why he refuses to see that her love is more important to her than anything in the world, maybe because his kind of love is the selfish kind. I hate people like his character, making decisions for someone so easily when they're not the ones that has to live with the consequences. Dae Woong and Mi Ho are the ones in the relationship, risking their lives for each other, what does that have anything to do with him? A gumiho wanting to become human for love, and a human accepting a gumiho to love, they deserve to be happy.

After reading recaps for episode 14 on dramabeans, I don't want to actually watch it until the last two episodes finish airing, because it does not end well, and I don't want to be left in tears with no way to console me. All I have to say is that I hate Dong Joo. I hate that instead of Dong Joo seeing Dae Woong's true love for Mi Ho and helping them out, he uses that to split them up. What a bastard! I'm sorry, but if Dong Joo doesn't sacrifice his life to save Mi Ho, then I'm gonna be pissed. I mean, what's the point in living for over a thousand years only to isolate yourself from the world? He is half human and half a damn mystery, why doesn't he give his half human part to Mi Ho so she can get to live in the world with the man she loves? That's the only thing he can do to redeem himself with Gil-Dal, Mi Ho, and me too.

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho Ep 12: The Truth

I’m not one for the details, I prefer you get a little snippet, and then go watch the show yourself…so if my summary bothers you, I’m sorry. I feel that, even though I like spoilers myself, just knowing the gist of what’s going to happen is good enough.They sure know how to follow a good episode, with an even greater one. This time, Dae Woong returns the ring to Mi Ho, but officially as his girlfriend. Dae Woong reaches for another kiss, but the bead has a bad reaction. Mi Ho says that the bead is angry about what happened earlier, and it’s acting up because Dae Woong is “thinking of mating on a full-blown scale” LOL. As much as he tries to deny it, the bead tells all. She tells him to just bear with the pain and try kissing her again, but he’s in too much pain.

But it is really cute to watch the two attempt to kiss. They go inside the loft and Mi Ho starts writing out her life plan of things to do after 100 days and it includes, one: mating with Dae Woong, two: get married to Dae Woong, three: have kids with Dae Woong, one every year…and all that is supposed to happen in the course of a year. I love that all her plans involve Dae Woong, who is freaked out by it and pointing out that he is only 21. He tells her that they have to go see his grandpa the next day, and points out that her life plans are practically the same as his grandpa’s plans for him.

A mysterious young boy shows up late in the game, and turns out to be a goblin, who is has a hunger for Mi Ho’s bead. Stalker Dong Joo totally witnessed Dae Woong’s declaration to Mi Ho and realizes there is no possible way Mi Ho could leave Dae Woong now, so he decides to give up and leave himself. This is when I start believing he’s pretty cool, no longer standing in the way of the couple, and going off to live on an island. Mi Ho tells him that she won’t be able to visit him because she’s afraid of the water, which he doesn’t understand, since foxes are supposed to be afraid of fire. But she nonchalantly points out that she was made out of fire, which peaked an interest in that mysterious head of his. He runs into the goblin and questioned it about why it was following Mi Ho’s bead, and it revealed to him that it smelled of goblin fire. Dong Joo starts connecting his dots to realize that not only does Mi Ho have a similar face to his first love, but that she is also made of what his love used to be. He regrets helping Mi Ho become human, because it has put him in the same position he was in, all those years ago.

Dae Woong takes Mi Ho to his grandfather’s for dinner and she uses the things she learned in the past 500 years to impress her in-law as well as Dae Woong. Mi Ho looks through Dae Woong’s old albums to see the life he led in the past 20 years and envies that he’s been able to do so much with his life. Dae Woong is surprised, since she is over 500 years old, so she would probably have a more interesting life than he does. But she points out that he has spent 20 years living his life, while she spent all her years merely existing in hers.

This is something even humans go through, and I love that they point this out in this drama. In previous episodes, it was discussed how this show is about acceptance: accepting someone for who they are, no matter how different they can be. But now, it’s about truly living the life that was given to you.
Mi Ho was explaining to Dae Woong that the things in her life plan were things she constantly heard people praying and wishing for in the temple…their dreams and deepest desires…maybe not the mating part LOL. She told him the things that seemed normal or unimportant to everyone else were significant to her. Which made Dae Woong realize how true it was for her. So he decides to help give her actual memories, which led to their first picture together, that he got developed to put into an album for her.

Dong Joo is off to see Mi Ho, after finding out her real identity…Okay, it was bad enough with him lingering around trying to “help” Mi Ho when he thought she looked like his lover. But now that they’re practically the same gumiho, he’s never going anywhere…which he tells Mi Ho himself, vowing to always protect her. Guilty much? Maybe if you didn’t kill her to begin with, you wouldn’t be living with so much guilt you dummy.

Dae Woong finds out he has to go to China for 2 months to continue filming in China, and hesitates to go because of Mi Ho, but she encourages him even though she’s clearly upset about it. She’s sorry that she can’t be a normal girlfriend, and that he has to worry about her so much. To cheer her up, Dae Woong tells her the 9 best things about having a gumiho as a girlfriend. One of which is that he really really really really really really really really likes her.

While Dae Woong is away, Dong Joo tells Mi Ho about the goblin after Dae Woong and convinces her to leave with him until he can get rid of the goblin. Mi Ho only agreed because Dae Woong was safe in China. At the same moment, Dae Woong came back briefly to surprise Mi Ho, always denying that he doesn’t miss her.

The goblin sniffs Dae Woong out and ends up knocking him out. He wonders how to remove the bead right when Dae Woong wakes up. The goblin points out that it’s better off that he have the bead, since it could kill Dae Woong. At the same time, Dong Joo is driving Mi Ho out of town when his supernatural sword reacts and he rushes to find the goblin. He only injures it and the goblin makes a run for it, while Dae Woong takes the time to ask him about what the goblin meant about his death and the bead. Meanwhile, Mi Ho is outside and has caught the goblin, and misunderstanding that Mi Ho is evil, he spills the truth about the bead to Mi Ho. She yells at him for following her, and he yells at her for trying to take a human life and explains to her how Dae Woong could die after the bead is removed from him. He also tells her that Dong Joo knows that as well. In the action school, Dong Joo tells Dae Woong that if he betrays Mi Ho and doesn’t return the bead to her after 100 days, then she will die, so he has to protect it well until that time. Dong Joo is pretty shady to use Dae Woong’s feelings for Mi Ho to lie to him like that. But our boy firmly tells Dong Joo that even if he didn’t mention it, Dae Woong would have done so anyways.

Mi Ho is worried about Dae Woong’s safety, so she starts to cry…therefore, it starts to rain. She cries and tries to figure out what she can do. Dae Woong goes back to the loft, but Mi Ho obviously isn’t there…he sees Mi Ho’s life plan glued on that basket thing she sleeps on, and decides to add his name and a heart to the page, to read Dae Woong & Mi Ho’s life plan. Adorable, right? Meanwhile, Mi Ho has gone to see Dong Joo. I noticed that after both men have grown to know how innocent and honest Mi Ho is, that even when she’s keeping things from them, they don’t notice, because they’ve gotten used to her so much that they don’t think she’d ever lie, or even know how to. Well, she knows the truth, and you can tell she’s upset, but Dong Joo isn’t seeing it. I guess at this moment, she wants to know what lengths Dong Joo will go for her, and finds out that he will do anything to get the bead back for Mi Ho, whether or not Dae Woong agreed to it. He also points out happily that he told Dae Woong what would happen if she doesn’t get it back, so they don’t need to worry about Mi Ho’s willingness. It only reassures Mi Ho that 1: Dong Joo is willing to let Dae Woong die, and 2: Dae Woong will give Mi Ho the bead to save her life. She realizes that she only has one option, and she thinks about it as she’s eyeing Dong Joo’s supernatural dagger and asking if that can really harm her. She goes back home and Dae Woong brings up the fact that she kept the part about her death from him, at first thinking that she didn’t trust him, but later realizing she does, that’s why she didn’t need to tell him. He tells her that they need to stay together and that he will protect her, and she vows to do the same…she’s crying, I’m crying…it’s just a really sweet moment. Because they’re on completely two different pages, both trying to save each other’s lives but not having the ability to without risking their own.

I find that interesting, one is a human with just a fox bead inside of him, while another is a gumiho that is slowly dying. They have about the same power in them, yet so willing to protect the person they love. Only 3 episodes left!!!

And for those of you in America, it is now airing on your local SBS station on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Episode 2 just passed. I will be re-watching this as it is airing. This has to be one of my favorite Korean dramas since Smile, You. So much for Smile, You or whatever else is out there, this is my drama for this year.

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho Ep 11: The Confession

I just found out that this show will be ending in a week in a half, to make room for another drama. Which is good, that means this show won't be unnecessarily dragged out, but it's bad because that means I won't be able to watch this anymore :(

Yesterday's episode has got to be the best episode of the drama. So in episode 10, Dae Woong found out that Hye In knows what Mi Ho is, and it was also when Mi Ho was planning to leave Dae Woong's side. But Dae Woong was not about to let her do that. The thought of Mi Ho leaving his side made him realize how much he wanted her around. So he goes and finds her, and makes sure that she stays with him. So far, the episode is going good for the couple, they get to grow closer...until the very end. Hye In finds out that close contact between Dae Woong and any woman can cause harm to Mi Ho, so the slut bag decides to plant a nasty kiss on Mi Ho. You have to watch it to know what I'm gonna talk about.

Episode 11 starts off with Dae Woong shoving Hye In away from him and yelling "What are you doing?" to her. Then realizes there's a big commotion going on behind him and sees that Mi Ho is lying unconscious because he knows her bead was hurt from that kiss. While he's trying to get the cast and crew to not call the ambulance, Hye In tries to sneak away. Not before Dong Joo finds her, and in one hot move, he basically tells her she better run away before Mi Ho tries to kill her.

Mi Ho does find her and attempts to take her life, but Dae Woong comes in time, only to get injured himself by Mi Ho not being herself. She reacts like an animal would, when her life is threatened, she will fight to make sure that doesn't happen again. Even after Dae Woong gets flung across the room, and drops Mi Ho's ring, he still tries to stop her. He hugs her from behind, telling her that that's not who she is, and gives Hye In enough time to get away. Then he turns her around for a normal hug, and apologizes to her, which changes Mi Ho back into her normal self.

Hye In thinks she has gotten away, but Dong Joo catches up with her again, basically saying things I want to say to her. That she did a stupid thing and if she ever does it again, then he'll have to kill her himself. Moments like these makes Dong Joo so freakin' hot that I don't know how to feel about him after he lets Dae Woong knows that he knows about their contract to stay together for 100 days.

That's the moment Mi Ho realizes that she is a gumiho and she and Dae Woong shouldn't be together. She realizes how she could have seriously hurt Dae Woong, and it kind of snaps her out of wanting to be with Dae Woong, and accepting to be in the life Dong Joo has made for her. When they go home, Mi Ho starts practicing to live a life without Dae Woong by her side. She tries to make her own money, and even buys her own food, particularly, eggs. She's sworn off meat, because as a human, meat is expensive and it's not something she can always buy for herself. I find it funny that she eats the eggs the same way she eats the meat, without any rice. She feels bad that Dae Woong can't like other girls, but he can't like her either, so she doesn't give him much of a choice.

While Mi Ho is doing all this, Dae Woong spends his time looking for her ring. He never really says why, but he just tells her that he will find her ring. While he's away, Mi Ho is experiencing her second death, all alone in the loft. But this time, Dae Woong feels it in him as well, probably because her bead was affected by the slutbag's earlier kissing stunt. He rushes to Mi Ho, kicks the door down but doesn't know what to do except go to Dong Joo and ask him for pain meds for his dog. Dong Joo plays along but mentions that it's probably better medicine if Dae Woong stayed by her side for the night.

When Mi Ho wakes up in the morning, she sees Dae Woong asleep next to her, with his hand in hers and she puts him to bed. Dae Woong wakes up hearing Mi Ho offer her gratitude and concern...towards Dong Joo over the phone. It's funny that he points out how he was the one that was by her side and taking care of her, so he should receive the gratitude. But that was just Mi Ho's way of further distancing herself from Dae Woong. After she leaves, Dae Woong sees the countdown board and is shocked at how much time he now has left with Mi Ho...78 days. He claims that isn't right and erases some of the X's so there's at least 10 extra days they have together. This just makes me want to beat him up for always rushing to cross off those days, and now he's regretting it.

Dae Woong finds out about the paperwork Mi Ho has about a Park Soon Ju, and after he sees a text from Dong Joo about a location, he goes to confront her. Except Mi Ho is long gone, and Dong Joo is just at the restaurant by himself. Dae Woong decides to confront Dong Joo, and he admits that he has known who Mi Ho is since the very beginning. He admits that half of him is like her, not human (then what the hell is he?). He tells Dae Woong of Mi Ho's plans to leave once her 100 days is up, and all Dae Woong has to do is let her go, and that angers Dae Woong, because he clenches his fist.

Dae Woong is feeling so many different things that he decides to go to the place where he wanted to take Mi Ho, to try and figure things out. He's worried if Mi Ho will go live with Dong Joo after she leaves, and he thinks about the several times that Mi Ho has told Dae Woong that she likes him. Which gives him the urge to confess it himself, "I like you," to freakin' thin air...except luckily, Mi Ho was already there, and she hears him. When Dae Woong sees her, he tells her straight out that he likes her. They have "the" conversation, about how they're different, and Mi Ho comes clean about how she's been using him to become human...The moment I've been waiting for, where Dae Woong no longer cares about what Mi Ho is, but only cares about the fact that he likes her...and that he wants to be with her, and that he really can't live without her...That's not "like" Woong Ah, that's love...the sooner you except it, the better for everyone.

They go back to the loft, just being completely open with one another, finally able to admit their feelings and be able to just be with each other. During this time, Mi Ho asks Dae Woong what "girlfriend" means, which Dae Woong chooses to show her.
It's too bad they don't know about what really is going to happen if Mi Ho tries to become human.

That's the thing, up until now, I still haven't been able to figure out what Dong Joo is and what he's trying to do. To me, it seems that he feels guilty about the gumiho he fell in love with, that he chose to kill because she fell in love with a human. I feel that he's trying to make up for that with Mi Ho, but he's only helping her out to what he feels is best for her, not for what she wants. It doesn't seem like he has feelings for her, most of the time. It seems like he's genuinely trying to help her, but then by not telling her the truth about how to become human, he's really not helping her. He would always say, "I didn't tell you the complete truth, you can't become human without me." So in a way, he wants to be around. I know that he's mad because he's in the same situation with a gumiho, and Dae Woong is actually a pretty decent guy, which he has acknowledged. I do feel that in his way, he really wants to help Mi Ho...but I hate how he goes about it. I was happy to see him threaten Hye In, only to have her try to separate the couple. I still want to know what kind of supernatural being he is...Is he a god? Cuz he sure is acting like one. Just because Mi Ho isn't very smart, he does try to educate her, but with his views of what is right and wrong. He won't let her choose for herself, but sneakily plants ideas in her head. He gave her the option of leaving Dae Woong even though he knows she's completely in love with him. He's not jealous like Dae Woong always is when Mi Ho is around Dong Joo, but he also doesn't like that Mi Ho relies too much on Dae Woong. If it were any normal situation, it would seem that Dong Joo is trying to give Mi Ho her independence...but in this case, it's at the risk of Dae Woong's life. His character is so confusing and not easy to figure out, but I like it that way. He is one unpredictable character.

This has to be this year's Clue Collector for me, because it's surprisingly good. I haven't blogged about a drama in a looong time, so you know this has to be good. I was watching it initially because I'm a fan of Lee Seung Gi...but as I watched it, the more drawn in I was because of Shin Min Ah's exceptional talent at portraying a 500-year-old gumiho (nine-tailed fox) living in the year 2010. She plays her role very innocently and very well. Then there's the veterinarian Park Dong Joo, whose character is mysteriously connected to the gumiho. I don't even want to reveal too much, because you really have to see it for yourself to understand how good and addicting this drama can be.

I've gotten so torn because of Seung Gi's Dae Woong, who is completely infatuated with some self-centered up-and-coming actress. He's trying to be a famous action star himself, so he keeps the gumiho by his side, who he names Gu Mi Ho, to help him get to where he needs to be. Along the way, he slowly starts to develop feelings for Mi Ho, but tries really hard to fight it because he knows she's not human, and that they could never be together. He can be the biggest jerk to Mi Ho, especially when she's so sweet when it comes to him, but he can also be as sweet.

There's Mi Ho, who just wants to be accepted into the human world, and wants to be human herself. When I watched it, I thought she was really evil, and that she was going to cause problems for the humans, but she's the complete opposite. All she wants is to be like everyone else, to just be able to fit in, and live like a human...but because of the myth about gumihos, she's not easily accepted.

Then there's the mesmerizing and handsome veterinarian Park Dong Joo. He's shows up very mysteriously connected to gumiho, and wanting to kill her...but through out the drama, they slowly reveal bits and pieces about his character. He meets Mi Ho, and knows her identity, but he's very sweet and thoughtful with her. He treats her better than Dae Woong does and tries to help her fit in, the way he has...but he has ulterior motives that he doesn't reveal to Mi Ho...and as a viewer, I barely know myself. If you're thinking Min Woo is familiar, like I did, he was in Pasta, and was the former drummer of the SM band Trax.

Anyways, just seriously, give this drama a try...and I'll post more about it after this week's episodes...I really want to know how things will play out this week before I post my thoughts on the drama as a whole.

Latest Trend: Idol Songs for Fans

I realized as of late, maybe due to their individual controversies, but idol groups have been releasing songs dedicated to their fans. From the groups I know of, which aren't very many, Fahrenheit did it with their Yue Lai Yue Ai album, they dedicated their whole album to their fans, but they did specifically make a song and video for their fans.

Super Junior released their repackaged 4th album with No Other, which they wisely chose to promote as their second single. Not only is it a good song for us fans, but it has topped many charts since its release.

The songs above were indirectly dedicated to the fans, and they are both very good songs, very meaningful, and sweet. But I have to say 2PM's Thank You is the best. They directly dedicate this song to their fans, not only did they perform it at their first concert tour, but they released it as a digital single...and the video has concert footage as well as little messages from the boys. It starts off with Nichkhun's "This is for my HOTTESTs" and throughout the song, they're saying how much they love and thank us. This is the most meaningful song because I have been a HOTTEST to begin with, and after all their controversy of the past year, they have made it out stronger and better than ever. Cuz they "don't stop can't stop", right? There are fans they've lost, fans who turned anti...but no matter what happened there are still the few of us who chose to stay by their side through out the troubles they've had to face, and for that, they are thankful. It's a very sweet song, I hope you enjoy it.

SHINee's Comeback, Different Look, Different Feel

The cameraman had no idea what he was doing, I'm a little upset cuz I'm an Onew fan, and he didn't catch Onew on time while he was singing...Poor Minho is injured so he can't perform, but he did get a lot of camera time. I still have to get used to their hair...it's my only problem with SM...they do drastic hair styles...they will always be the cute and lovable SHINee to me, no matter how old they get, they have the faces for it, so their hair kind of doesn't match their face. I'm trying to ignore it though. Their song is catchier than Ring Ding Dong, and I think it will do well. I kinda wish they were promoting the same time as Super Junior was, I love seeing some SM love. SM loves them hip thrusts.

It was nice of the SHINee boys to thank the MBLAQ boys in their new album, so I figured to have their performances posted together since they've become friends with each other.

I don't know half the people on these lists, but I'm hoping at least those 1000 people participating in this survey does, or else it isn't that accurate...I mean, I do have my favorites, but I can be objective when I need to be. I can acknowledge true talent. I like who I like, and I can also say whether or not they are truly talented, or just purely entertaining.

I think if they really wanted to do a proper survey, since they had solo artists on the lists, that they should have split the groups into individuals in order for it to be fair. I mean, even though they are a part of a group, there are definitely individuals who could have made those lists on their own skill and talent. I can tell the adults in the survey are at least in their late 20s to early 30s...because there are a lot of older artists, when the new artists are pretty talented as well. I mean, seniority doesn't determine talent does it? It's not a serious survey, but I thought I'd put my two cents in.

Talent:

What do they mean by talent? Singing? Dancing? Rapping? Because all I see are a bunch of women who mostly are pretty but don't have the natural singing talent...I mean, the group as a whole isn't that strong. They have main vocals for a reason, right? And I think those women should be listed as having the talent. Anyone can sing, it's something that can be taught/trained, but having the natural ability to sing is rare to find.

SNSD - there's the main vocals, Taeyeon and Jessica; Hyoyeun, Sooyung, and Yuri are talented dancers of the group
f(x), 4Minute, Lee Hyori, BEG, After School, T-Ara - I'm not even sure because I don't listen to them, so I'm not going to act like I know
But I do know there are at least one or two in each group that stands out in their singing or dancing ability
2AM - definitely Jo Kwon and Changmin, but Seulong and Jinwoon aren't far behind, they have the talent
DBSK - didn't even make the list, what's up with that? I guess just because they weren't in Korea these past 2 years, people seemed to have forgotten their talent. Xiah Junsu and Yunho are also very talented dancers.
Big Bang - Daesung has strong vocals, Taeyang isn't too bad either, and he's a great dancer...but hello, G-Dragon...the writer/composer/rapper/vocals of the group, that boy does it all...and how could he not if he didn't have talent?
2PM has Junho and Wooyung, they might not have the strongest vocals, but they have that naturally, and they are the dancers of the group
Every group has a few who are just plain talented, who naturally can sing or dance without having to be taught...that's what I call talent, the people who are just born to be musicians/entertainers.

Performance:

I agree with the results for the most part. I think they left out some rookies, like CN Blue who is one of the best bands that is out right now...BEAST, their performances are like a piece of art, because there's so much going on at once, that you don't know where to look at first. I don't know if the ranking is accurate though, I'd switch the numbers around a little. I couldn't even begin to rank them myself because they all have had great performances.

Variety skills:

Okay, what variety shows have these people been watching lately? Not many SNSD girls have been on variety shows, even if they have, only a few have the talent for variety...Definitely Lee SeungGi, thanks to Strong Heart. Again, I think this has to be more of an individual list, but I definitely agree with 2AM and 2PM, all those guys do have that variety sense. So do all the members of DBSK. As for Super Junior, it's only Heechul, Kangin, Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Shindong, and Yesung. Again, what about CN Blue's Jung Yonghwa? MBLAQ have been on variety shows showing their great sense of humor since they debuted, Lee Joon is the king of variety shows in that group. Beast's Yoon Doojoon and Yang Yoseob also does well. Even some U-Kiss members, who I'm not really a fan of, but I can acknowledge. SHINee's Onew and Key.

Amiability:

Wouldn't most artists be under this category? I can't think of people who aren't. I don't even understand what this category has to do with anything, really...

Appearances:

Guys definitely took this survey, cuz there aren't many males in this category, so let me just add them myself. And those are the ones that pop into my mind at the moment.

Why do they need to be categorized anyways? If they are idols, then that's what they are. You categorize them before they become famous, that's how they become famous...not try to figure out people who deserve to be given those titles, or whatever this survey was trying to accomplish. Talent, just like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. We all have our own opinions and views on who should be the best, based on our own interests. There's nothing wrong with that...just don't try to change other people's minds about it.

Jay's Comment to Fans After Dream Concert

Sadly for 2PM during the Dream Concert, I found out later that fans of other idols rallied together to chant "Park Jaebeom" loudly during 2PM's Don't Stop Can't Stop performance. I think it was really rude and unecessary to do so, now of all times. If they did that during the whole Jay issue, and supported us HOTTESTs during that time, it would've been great. But to do so after everyone has moved on seems uncalled for, and I don't understand their motives behind it. I read a lot of comments about people saying, "Karma." "They deserve this for how they treated Jay." and comments similar to those.

But I thought we all moved on? Jay has, 2PM has, and after a long time, so have the fans. We either decided to support 2PM, past and present members, or others chose to be against NuPM. Either way, the fans or antis have chosen sides and made their peace with it, so why all of a sudden did all those fans decide to do that during this time? I feel bad for the guys, because no matter what happened or what we think happened, we are not the ones in the situation, so we should just let it go and move on. That's the whole point of Don't Stop Can't Stop. I don't support what those fans did, and apparently, neither does Jay himself.

When will these fans listen and respect the decisions made by 2PM, and Jay especially. Were they doing that on his behalf? I don't think so. If they were doing it to show their support to Jay, they would have done it with the rest of the fans months ago, when there was still hope for Jay's return. Even if 2PM or whoever "betrayed" Jay like they believe, it doesn't mean they should use Jay's name to hurt 2PM like that. I'm glad there are other fans that support Jay, and dislike how things went down, but why didn't they show that support months ago? Why team up against 5 guys who had no power over the situation?

Comeback Day

I'm just excited about my MBLAQ boys coming back today, even though the Wonder Girls, 4Minute, and CN Blue had their performances today as well. They did so well, and looked so good doing it. Their looks are a little different, but I will always remember them to be those goofy boys on Idol Army that I grew to love...They remind me of 2PM pre-drama...and I hope they do as well as 2PM has been doing.

Who's comeback do you like best? I'm biased, so of course I'll say MBLAQ. My little sister LOVES the Wonder Girls, that's why we went to that JYP concert where I got to see 2PM...but I don't understand the hype with them, no offense. I think SNSD is more talented and their voices are better, but that's just me...Not trying to bash, I just don't understand why JYP puts ALL of his attention on those girls and leaves his other groups to fend for themselves in Korea...at least we know 2PM did well without JYP's close attention.

My Boys Are Back!!!

I haven't updated in a while, because I've been so absorbed in all the good comebacks as of late. I want to start by talking about 2PM's comeback. They performed Without U and Don't Stop Can't Stop, showing that they have grown into much stronger men than before. They've surpassed Rain and Lee Hyori as #1 on all the music programs and even won their second Triple Crown, not too long from their comeback. Although, Junsu suffered a knee injury, and Wooyung will be out of commission for a while due to his voice nodules...but don't fret, these guys always come back "stronger than ever" as they put it in their Don't Stop Can't Stop song...You really can't stop these boys, I mean, even with other comebacks this year, it's safe to say that 2PM can look forward to a very successful year with their supportive fans. I'm looking forward to the year end awards this year, to see which artists will come out on top...because they ALL are great artists.

Then there's Super Junior, who came back on the 14th with their catchy hit Bona Mana. They only returned with 10 members, but they still have their undying unity and bond that makes these guys who they are. It is sad to see a few members missing, but they make up for it through their outstanding performances, showing us that they too, have grown to be very strong men.

My MBLAQ boys are finally back, not officially yet, but they just released their comeback single today. I don't even know what to say, I'm speechless...with their looks, their dance moves, the video...I'm amazed at how much they've grown, and I feel like I have watched them through Idol Army and various variety shows. I feel like they are who 2PM used to be before all the drama, let's just hope they don't go through the same heartbreaking problems. I'm looking forward to how they will perform this song...and Joonie in the shower, what's not to love? Although, they make the woman in their video very mysterious...I wonder who she is, someone that has spent time with 2PM and that MBLAQ sees twice a week, according to Seungho's hints on his Cyworld...

I guess it's a good thing Big Bang is coming back in the summer. Not that I don't want to see them now, well, G-Dragon anyways...but there's way too much competition, and I want all of my boys to do well...but believe this year will be one of the best years in KPop history...so many talented artists are back, the new and the old...all have grown into such strong and handsome men...Yeah, I'm a little biased...I know girl groups are coming back this year, and have come back, but I'm not interested...I just want my men to do well...

Questions Regarding Jay

They were saying everything that I'm sure is on all the fans' minds, including myself. I still have all these questions in the back of my mind about everything that happened, but I left it in the back of my mind because I'm trying to move on with 2PM and Jay, but it's hard to support people and be left in the dark about something this big. They made a lot of good points, like, why did the company say that Jay had a serious issue with his private life which made it impossible for him to return to the group? I don't trust JYPE at all anymore, because all of their statements are very questionable...and Jay didn't say that he had a problem with his personal life, the company made a statement saying so. The same company who promised us Jay's return to 2PM in April, but all of a sudden some scandal came out of nowhere. It made sense to send Jay off in order to hide this "secret", so that it wouldn't affect 2PM or Jay if it did resurface...but by being so vague about what had happened, it just meant a lot of people are left to speculate and assume the worst about Jay. The reporter made a point about saying it could ruin Jay's reputation if he wanted to work in the country again, and it's true. Who would want an artist that "has personal issues that are so bad he had to terminate his contract early"?

Another point the reporter made was that, shouldn't the company have control over their artists' personal lives? Since 2PM were up and coming idols, shouldn't they have been watched closely? And this is what doesn't make sense to me. By stating the fact that Jay has this huge issue, it just shows that maybe JYPE doesn't know how to control their artists, and could allow them to do something that big to harm their career as well as the company's business. That in itself makes the company look bad. But with who JYP is, with all his restrictions and regulations on his artists and the fear he puts into the boys, there's no way in hell a boy like Jay could do anything so bad to jeopardize his career. He would not throw his four years of training in a foreign country, his hardships he endured there, away for whatever he supposedly did. All of JYPE's artists were closely watched that they could barely be themselves without getting in trouble for it. I mean, he had high expectations for them, and those boys did their best to meet those standards set for them. They didn't go through all that in Hot Blood for any of them to risk losing what they love. Jay was someone who worked hard to help out his family, and he just doesn't seem like the type to give that all up for whatever reason. He had his mom's support, and missed her all the time, but he stuck with it for 5 years because in the end, he was helping out his family. I choose to believe in the best in Jay, because I believe he is that great of a guy. Just because JYPE comes out with statements that are supposedly statements from Jay, it doesn't mean I'll believe them. But it's not gonna make me hate 2PM, it makes me support them even more for being stuck in a company who shows no loyalty for their artists, who can't even try to protect their artists from the public.

I wish I could have been at that fan conference, or could know what happened there, because the reporter mentions how much worse the conference made the situation...that they changed someone like me, who hated just JYPE to hate 2PM for betraying Jay. What did the guys say? I read an article about how even in 2PM, the guys were divided about the Jay issue, and I'm curious to know why and who. I think it was interesting though, to compare 2PM's ex-fans-newly-turned-antis to terrorists. I feel that is some intense hatred on the fans' parts, because they loved and supported that group to extremes, but then to be betrayed in such a way...it's like throwing all of their support and loyalty away...they turn around and reveal those "details" of 2PM's personal lives...ones that I've posted and not too great to know. I guess their hatred was equal to the amount of love they had for the group.

Not a fan of the slow song, but at least they're dancing. I hope it becomes a hit, but it didn't get to me the way Again & Again did...I'm still waiting for that again...to be so anxious to hear their new song that I stay up to wait for their video...

Their comeback is today, don't know when, but I'm looking forward to their stage performance. The video was a little too dark for me, literally...it was in the dark, and the black rain didn't help...but if they're gonna perform in those all black outfits, then I'm down...I noticed the boys have been working out lately...lol

But, to be positive, I like that the boys have switched their roles for this song...Chansung doing vocals and Khun rapping-ish...it wasn't Taec rapping, but it was still rapping. I like that we get to see the guys getting out of their normal roles for the group...The next person I hope to hear rap is Junho, because I feel he is a natural at it...

I'm not the same fan I was last year, I know that most of us aren't...but I'm still a fan nonetheless...and even if Jay isn't officially a member of 2PM, he will always be one to me...

Okay, I don't understand the black rain...I think JYP is making 2PM darker and darker...that's just what it seems to me. Taec is always angry, lol, he mentioned on Strong Heart that he hates having that angry image. I pictured their comeback single to be very strong and powerful, which was how I've always seen 2PM to be...I mean, what happened to their 10 out of 10 days? I know they've grown, and they're showing some mature side to them or whatnot, but why hide what we originally loved about the boys? I just hope it won't be like Heartbeat, it wasn't appealing to me, but it was a hit in Korea...I just wish them the best, and I hope that they will get to a point in their careers where they will be able to express themselves the way they want to.

Comebacks This Year

My boys are back...starting from 2PM to MBLAQ to Big Bang to Super Junior...I'm looking forward to seeing all of their new looks and hear their new songs. I know it will be even better this year.

I think, after the past year, I am ready and willing to give 2PM my complete support, and that my heart will no longer be swayed by the politics of the music industry, specifically Korea. I have learned this past year, with everyone's legal troubles, that no matter what happens, I will always remain a loyal fan to each and every member of the Kpop idol groups I love.

I will honestly say that I wasn't a big fan of the release of 1:59PM, nor was I a fan of most of the songs on the album, but I still managed to listen and support 2PM and I'm glad they're slowly getting back to being the guys I remember them to be. With that being said, this was released as a preview to their comeback...they had a short teaser, but it was really weird...just some music for 30 seconds, not like their Heartbeat teasers. I know these boys will continue to do great, as a group, and as individuals. They will be coming back before they perform at the Hollywood Bowl for the Korean Music Festival, and their US Tour with the Wonder Girls and 2AM. I hope everyone can show them your unwavored love and support. I've read recently that Jay will be starring in the movie Hype Nation that will film mostly in Korea...and I hope his fans there will continue to show him their support...more importantly, I hope he can finally be reunited with his One Day brothers again, even if I have to read about it. I hope he is taken care of when he goes out there.

Oh my MBLAQ...to me, they are the rising idols...they have really impressed me as the latest MC's for Idol Army. I love the way they express themselves on variety shows, and the dedication they show to improving their craft, through illness and injury. I know all idols go through their hard times, but these are the first boys that I've liked since their debut to now...and they've become one of my favorite groups to follow. They are making me proud, and they are the most entertaining people to watch amidst all of the craziness with their sunbaes. I'm looking forward to seeing what else they have to show us.

It has been 2 years since Big Bang was promoting as a group in Korea? I mean, I'm not as big of a fan of the group as I am of G-Dragon, but I want to see them together. They've come so far as individuals and as a group, that I'm really looking forward to what they have planned for us.

Super Junior...I grew to love all 13 of these guys, but they slowly are disappearing...I'm hoping that they come back better than ever...if not 13, then 12 is acceptable...

I have to say, with all these comebacks this year, not even including Rain's long awaited comeback, also YG's Se7en is back in Korea...you can tell I'm not a girl group fan...but there are going to be some competition this year among the men, definitely...and they are all great in their own right. I just wonder, by the end of the year, who will come out on top?

Jay Is Back and Better Than Ever!!!

These are the men I grew to love, and these are the men I will continue to love. Amidst all of the rumors and speculations, fact versus fiction, fans versus anti-fans...one thing I want to clarify: I may be confused at times with certain issues, because I am a person who always sees the good in people, and that is sometimes a little naive of me...but I believe that when I put my faith in someone, that person has to be worth it, and I will remain loyal until the very end.

2PM was the first group that introduced me to the Kpop world, and I grew to love each and every one of them, as individuals, but also as 2PM. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't even be fans of other Kpop groups, I wouldn't have known that they existed, and I take great pride in the Americans who have succeeded as 2PM members. The thing I loved about 2PM, even One Day as a whole was because of their close brotherly bond during their training years. They may have had a lot of hardships, together, as a group, but I believe them to be the same boys that woke up early in the morning to do physical and vocal exercises...that cried when someone was getting eliminated, and rejoiced when they were finally able to debut and be as successful as they are now. I believe they are closely bonded, and they treat each other with respect. On top of that, I believe they honor and respect their fans, because they are the kind of idols who know they wouldn't get to where they are, in large part because of the support from their fans...and as their fans, we should always support them. I can't stress that enough...When you commit yourself to something, you should commit all the way, 100%, with no doubts.

Maybe I'm being too serious, but I believe being a fan of an artist is like being in a relationship with them. You have to give them constant support, love, trust, and everything they would need to help them move forward in life. You're not supposed to be obsessively possessive of them, because they are not yours alone, and they have a life that they need to live in spite of all of us...but it is like a relationship because they are human beings who make mistakes. Like a relationship, you accept your partner exactly as who they are, their flaws included, and you just stand beside them to let them know that who they are is okay with you.

It is sad that even though there's so much grief going around with 2PM, that people are causing so much more pain than necessary. Maybe I added a little fuel to the flame, but I wanted people to know what was out there. Why hide the truth or lies? We should be able to be objective and choose to believe whatever we want to believe. I have always given people the benefit of the doubt, and I will continue to do so for 2PM. I honestly don't believe these guys are as bad as people claim they are, and I believe that who they are on-screen are their genuine selves.

They may just be an idol group, but I'm serious about my devotion towards them. I feel that in this time, they need our support more than ever...all 7 of them. In my eyes, Jay is and will always be 2PM's fearless leader that I will always love and support...and it will be hard because there's just 6 of them, but it comes natural to me to support 2PM, so I will.

I just read that blog...I don't know what to say about it...if it is true, then I am shocked...speechless...and I have been their loyal fan for a year, completely...through all of Jay's troubles. I'm really hoping that this isn't true, because they were my first Kpop boy group...and I really hope to God those are all just rumors, all of it...because there's not one thing that would make them look good...maybe just the fact that Jay and Khun are the nice ones, which I choose to believe. I think their parents raised them well in America, in spite of people's misconceptions about Asian Americans. I thought I didn't know what to believe before, it's worse now...I mean, who would know 2PM more than the fans that are constantly around them? This really does make me see them in a different light, but I will be open-minded...and hope it's not true...I really do hope this isn't true, but I do believe that fans should be aware that this is out there and decide for themselves whether or not this is true. I have some thinking to do for myself, and see how far my loyalty lies for them...I believed in them, and if this were true, then it's like a slap in the face to me...and their other loyal fans. I have to admit, that it is a bit hard to NOT believe these from fans...even if there were some truth within the rumors, it is all still pretty bad...But I really want to stand by them, and believe the best in them, that these are just rumors spread by antis to make us dislike 2PM. Aimee Lucas' views on GDs concert written by Philip Chung

If you’re like me, the public outcry that ensued when Janet Jackson flashed her nipple for all of half a second during a performance with Justin Timberlake at the 2004 Super Bowl seemed like much ado over nothing. But if you think Americans are overtly prudish, they have nothing on the Koreans. Last month, Korean pop star G-Dragon (of Big Bang fame) was accused of “dry humping” a dancer on a stand-up bed during the song “Breathe” at his “Shine A Light” concert.

Once pictures like the one above hit the internet, the outrage was almost instantaneous. It’s become such an issue in the country that this month, the South Korean government decided to step in and is investigating the incident. If he loses the case, G-Dragon faces a fine and up to a year in prison. His fans, including those who were at the concert, have started a petition in support of the pop star and the case is still pending. YG Entertainment, G-Dragon’s label, released an apology but otherwise no one involved with the incident has spoken about what happened. Until now.

The dancer being “dry humped” on stage by G-Dragon is Aimee Lee Lucas who happens to be a friend. I admit I know next to nothing about the Korean pop scene, but when I saw the stories and “offensive” photos of Aimee popping up online, well, I had to find out what really happened. Aimee was kind enough to hang out with me at a Starbucks on a rainy afternoon and talk publicly for the first time about the now infamous incident.

Although Aimee works as a dancer/choreographer for YG Entertainment, she’s not Korean. In fact, she’s a Filipina homegirl from the Bay Area, now living in L.A. Aimee studied ballet for 14 years before transitioning to hip-hop. And though she took her dancer training seriously, when she moved to L.A., the plan was to go to school and find a “real” job that had nothing to do with dancing. But when she tagged along with boyfriend Shaun Evaristo (also a dancer/choreographer) to a commercial audition, she ended up booking it herself and was soon dancing in an iPod ad.

Then, two years ago, Shaun was hired by YG to work with their artists in Korea and once the execs saw Aimee’s talent, they hired her too. Since then, she’s appeared in numerous concerts and videos with artists like Tae Yang and Big Bang. Here she is as the lead female dancer in Big Bang’s “Number One” video:

So when Aimee performed the “Breathe” number with G-Dragon and the aforementioned stand-up bed, it was just another normal bit. She flew back to L.A. the morning after the last concert thinking all was normal but by the time she landed, the controversy had broken out all over the internet in Korea.

“I was shocked when I heard what was happening,” Aimee says. “We performed two shows on a Saturday and Sunday. All the VIPs and big people came out on Saturday and no one said anything. During rehearsals, no one told us we were going too far and should hold back. So the reaction was surprising.”

Initially, the internet comments directed at “the dancer in the number” were critical (“what is that girl thinking doing that?”), but once Aimee was identified as the dancer, most of the negative comments stopped. In fact, during the whole controversy, everyone associated with the number from G-Dragon to YG has been targeted and vilified—except Aimee who is not facing any of the charges, fines or jail time. “I think it’s because I’m American,” she says. “I’ve been told from the start that I’ll be treated differently because I’m American and that’s been the case.”

When she first started performing in Korea, Aimee was surprised by the rabid, (very) young and female fan base of the K-Pop acts who would appear in the form of large mobs everywhere she and the musicians went. “When I became the lead dancer opposite Tae Yang, people joked with me that they were surprised I wasn’t dead,” she says, “that the fans didn’t come after me with pitchforks for doing what they all dreamed of doing with him.”

To understand the controversy, one must first understand the K-Pop scene. If Big Bang is like the Korean N’Sync with its more innocent and tween friendly music, G-Dragon is its Justin Timberlake—pursuing a solo career to explore more “adult” subject matter. His first solo album “Heartbreaker” was deemed inappropriate for children because of the lyrical content of several songs like “She’s Gone” (sample offensive lyric: “If I can’t have you, I’ll kill you.”). The songs are pretty tame by our standards; the content of an American pop song like Justin Timberlake’s “Rock Your Body” is downright pornographic compared to G-Dragon’s music (and I’m sure G-Dragon won’t be doing the Korean equivalent of this anytime soon). But because of the concert controversy, a new “investigation” has also been launched regarding the appropriateness of his album.

So here’s Aimee’s explanation of what happened:

Before the first creative meeting for the concert, Aimee was already thinking of ideas for the different numbers. Since the imagery of a bed was so strong in “Breathe,” she thought it would make sense to incorporate that into the piece. “At the meeting, G-Dragon had pretty much the same idea to do something around a stand-up bed,” she says. “He likes to let loose and push boundaries. Everyone agreed so that’s what we worked on.”

“There was no humping,” she continues. “If you watch the (footage), the whole bit lasts only a few seconds. He straddles me for a bit, we do some ‘acting’ and then we’re done. I had to lift myself (on the stand-up bed) and hang there and support all my body weight with my arms. I could only do that for a couple of seconds so there wasn’t any time to do any humping.”

Aimee thinks the controversy erupted because the first images to be posted online were photos of her hanging from the bed straddling G-Dragon with her legs wrapped around him which could be misinterpreted when seen out of context. By the time video footage from the concert hit the web a few days later, the damage had already been done. Since she left for America right after the concert, she hasn’t talked to G-Dragon about the incident but has heard from others at YG that he seems to be doing fine.

So is it just me or is this a ridiculous attempt by an artist-unfriendly government led by President Lee Myung-bak (who derogatorily referred to filmmakers as “hippies”) to make an example of a pop star in the name of family values? Aren’t there more pressing issues in the country to be worried about?

[BreakingNews] GDragon exposes his feelings on the concert issue

GDragon had many labels in the past, some good and some bad. Big Bang’s leader. The youngest boy who was participating in HipHop albums by the age of 13. One of the top 8 composers that shined in 2008. Placing first in all possible music charts with his solo album. 2009’s greatest selling record. Plagiarism issues. Known for interesting fashion. And the most recent one, concert issues.

There had been a set of associated words with GDragon. However, he was the boy that went on along his way without any rest in the music world, but there will always be the critics commenting on his actions. Through an interview, we learned about what kind of a path he kept on going from that one little boy to a star that is loved by many people.

People who are close to GDragon say that he is “very detailed and trustworthy.” So detailed that he would check daily on every single detail of his album and watch the concert stage from the 3rd floor to make sure that his fans wouldn’t miss out on a thing. A person like that was slammed down on his first concert. It was all because of the sexy performance he displayed during his own song, ‘Breathe.’

GDragon stated, “I believe that since I am a singer for the public, I know that it is right for the public to judge me. No matter what I was trying to show, it was my fault if it [the concert] was disturbing and high level. I was only trying to show a stronger appearance because it wasn’t a public show, but a concert performance. I’m really sad that the response was different from what I expected.” While he was preparing his first concert, he was excited. Since the age of 13 entering YG Entertainment, this was the stage he was dreaming about for 10 years. He pondered on the videos to show, and explored each section of the audience seats to view how the stage would look from there. Big Bang’s stages also made him excited, but this solo concert that had his own name on it as a single singer meant the world to him.

“Seriously, I don’t know even remember how hard I rose up to this level for my solo concert. I might be saying this because I’m still young, but really when this concert ended, I really thought to myself, ‘I would want nothing else more.’” But, when I turned on the internet the next day, my heart crashed to see only the parts of concert torn apart with the issues.” He confessed that he faced sadness as a singer when he realized that the performances that he worked hard on was torn apart and that one cut represented his whole concert. Was it to much for him to show different sides of him to the audience that couldn’t easily access the concert?

“Instead of tears, fake laugh came out as I thought, ‘will I be cursed so that anywhere I go, I get bashed at?’” I didn’t want it to go this far. I just wanted to show my fans the different sides. In the performances I showed cute sides, and handsome sides, but why did it only get cut into this part? All the news paper articles had that strong word in them, and I was embrassed and sad that my parents might see these articles that only had one side to them.” He added on, “My thinking was short. However I just wish that people wouldn’t criticise me just for that one section. The song ‘Breathe’ in general is about not wanting to wake up from a dream because my ideal woman appears in them. Because of those lyrics I had a bed on stage and showed that I was searching my dreams. But the final product the public saw was, ”sex demonstration.” I was shocked and thought, ‘I’m not this, but I guess this is how I look to the people,’ realizing it then.”

He finally added, “Whether I get praised at, or slammed at, I think that is proof that the public is showing interests toward me. I have to understand the fact that telling me what part I did wrong helps me to improve in the future. The way I could he accepted and win praises is to do better on the next album. This once again reminded me that I have to do my best on the Big Bang album coming out this year.”

I'm Asian but raised in America, just to clarify my point of view...I didn't think that Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake thing was that big of a deal, because after all, it was an accident. Yeah, it was a shock at the time, it was the biggest show ever seen in America, bigger than all of the award shows combined, but it happened for a split second...I was in shock, but I got over it. I didn't understand why it was made into such a huge deal anyways. No one needs to think about the children or how it affects them, because trust me, they've seen worse on their own.

I agree with the comparison of Big Bang and N Sync, well, mainly because I've been an N Sync fan forever...and more specifically because Justin is my favorite member the same way G-Dragon is my favorite Big Bang member. Now that I think about it, he is very similar to G-Dragon, with his talents, and that he does well on his own...the only difference is Big Bang does well on their own, but they do even better as a group. I think G-Dragon is very talented, and he's lucky to be in a company that takes advantage of that talent and gives him the creative freedom to express himself.

I feel really bad for what's going on with him, because I too feel that it's a lot of trouble over nothing. It's clear that netizens think way too much about things, and can't let things go. Netizens do not know how to forgive and forget. What pisses me off the most is how they can expect perfection from their idols, without even seeing how flawed they are themselves. What happened to whoever has no sin should throw the first stone? I swear, with all these religions in the world, why are people so petty and selfish? I'm just sick and tired of netizens taking things out of proportion...I already lost one member from my favorite idol group, I refuse to continue to allow them to singlehandedly control the Korean music industry...because that's what it seems like to me. I've enjoyed a lot of different Asian countries' music, but none of the fans or netizens has ever been as aggressively judgmental as Korea's. They literally can make or break an idol's career, and why should they have that much power? What about all the loyal fans, do we have no say in the matter? Does our love, support, and loyalty to our idols not count?

I applaud G-Dragon for releasing his feelings on the subject. Because he didn't need to justify his actions, because his true fans knew his motives were pure. He just meant to entertain as best as he could, to make people feel and be immersed by his music and didn't mean to hurt anyone...I hope people see that his intentions weren't bad and to just let it go.

Autumn Concerto is My New Drug For This Year!!!

I have a new addiction since The Clue Collector/Pi Li MIT. I mean, that will always be my number 1 show, but when it comes to sweetness and romance, I gotta give it to Autumn's Concerto. Kinda funny, this was around the time I was watching The Clue Collector last year. I'd just like to say, that since Vaness was originally from Los Angeles, California...you can totally tell by the way he kisses, that man kisses like he's an American, LOL...Can't believe he's 31 already...he's so hot...can't help it...I mean, Arron has that cute boyish charm, but Vaness is a man! LOL...I mean, the Taiwanese are always known for their makeout scenes, but some look so awkward, or gross...I've never found someone to be so hot just from watching him kiss another woman...LOL. Vaness has got me all hot and bothered in this drama.

Okay, remember Taylor Lautner scenes in New Moon? How he'd practically be shirtless throughout the whole movie...well, they do that with Vaness too. They take advantage of his hot body, and rightly so...LOOK AT IT!!! I'm not the kind of girl that just oogles at guys' bodies, I'm a smile person...but look at his face, then look at his body...he has the whole package, so how can I resist? If there's a chance for him to be shirtless, they are taking that chance...Oh, in case you didn't know, Vaness was a member of the Taiwanese group F4...I automatically thought of them while watching Boys Over Flowers, thinking Korea had its F4, but they were just characters...LOL
I've waited forever for Vaness to play in this exact type of drama, with the perfect hair, the perfect storyline, the sweet romance, but sadness as well...I didn't wait in vain...This drama is great, I don't know how I'm supposed to wait patiently for this...Every episode gets so intense as it nears the climactic ending...and I just wanna know when the happy ending will come!!!!

I just wanted to voice my opinion on the matter, because it's so sad to hear...First I had to go through 2PM's loss of a great leader through stupid and cruel acts...but I started to like SuJu in place of 2PM. I loved their brotherly love and unity...then I ended up liking DBSK through SuJu. I came across a Thai news show that talked about DBSK's issue with SM, the slave contract and all...and they mentioned one SuJu member wanting to terminate his contract too, and I was wondering who it was, I had no idea that it was Hankyung, of all people.

I just have to say that just because a company or person lended you a hand to accomplish your dreams, it doesn't mean they can take advantage of you because of it. Companies look for people that can help make them money, and that's all they care about, while the men have to sacrifice everything to achieve their goals, they take everything in stride. From what I've heard, I'm surprised they didn't do this sooner...but maybe they've withstood all they could. I believe Hankyung is a good man, one of integrity, and he wouldn't choose this path if he had other options...besides, he's a foreigner in that country, and I'm surprised he withstood it through that law of having to wear a mask on stage. Sometimes, I don't understand Korea and what they see as important to them...not bashing the country...According to the article, According to this Chinese media report, “Even though the details to the request for invalidation of the exclusive contract cannot be revealed, it has been interpreted that there are unreasonable conditions in the contract with SM Entertainment and HanKyung is doing this for his future personal development.”

That word got me, "unreasonable", in whose terms? I mean, SM claimed that the stipulations in their contract for the DBSK boys as reasonable...if so, is a 13 year contract really reasonable? Not allowing them to venture into their own individual projects or businesses as reasonable? And I thought JYPE was bad for allowing some netizen to ruin one of their artist's careers...but this is pretty bad.

It's true SM helped these guys get to where they are, but for the most part, it's who they are that's gotten them far. They helped put these guys out there, after so many years of hard work and sacrifice before they even debuted. These guys lived hard lives before and after their debut...nothing through out their career was easy for them. They left their families and homes to hope to make it big in the big city, not to get used like this...Maybe it's just me, but I don't care about what company these guys are from, all I care about is who they are, who they show me they are, their talent, their hardwork and dedication...These guys got me to laugh, cheer, and cry with them...I feel attached to them and get defensive for them. I have to say, after all they've been through, they always try to show us fans that they're still strong...They know that they got to where they are because of their companies, but also a big part has to do with their fans...No celebrity, no matter where they come from or who they are, will be nothing if it wasn't for the fans that support them. Some have said that they work for their fans, and I see that. They perform with their hearts, and give their alls for their fans, no matter how hard it will be for them, and I believe those big companies take advantage of their dedication.

I can understand if Hankyung alone was wanting to terminate his contract, but also the 3 DBSK boys, and they're so popular, but they'd rather put their career on hold just so they can settle things with SM in a civilized manner. It's true, you shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you, but the hand shouldn't choose when to feed someone or how much. I feel lately, that's how it is with SM...they do things on their terms, regardless of how the boys are or what's going on in their lives. They've been overworked, become ill, and gotten into various accidents...that shouldn't be the price to pay for fame. If you're no longer happy doing what you love, then what's the point? When it comes down to it, as much love they have for their peers or their fans, they have to think about what's best for them. If no one is looking out for them, then who will? I think that the guys need to do what's best for them, because it's their lives to live after all...they are not puppets that can be used when it's convenient. They are human beings with lives that can't be controlled so easily by others...if you have no say over your own life, then what's the point of living it? As a fan, all we should do is offer our love and support...because as much as they want to please us, they have to do what's right for them, and we just have to accept what that is. Their career is not to satisfy us, they can't satisfy all of us anyways.

IT'S THEIR DREAM, NOT OURS. I know that we can easily forget that sometimes...

It's just sad that all this is going on at the same time, it's too much to take, I just started liking them and DBSK, and now, all this drama...

JYP said these songs have never been done before, but I sense a huge American influence on the music style...but that's just me. I guess a majority of HOTTESTs will be protesting by refusing to by the album, and downloading it online instead. As long as protesting JYPE doesn't hurt 2PM, then I'm all for it. No matter what, 2PM still needs to get paid, but I wonder, doesn't their album sales and so forth determine how much they get paid? How will 2PM get paid without HOTTEST's support? I want to protest JYPE, but I don't want to risk hurting the 6 members' careers. I can't stress that enough. It's such a tough topic, no one is ever really sure of what to do. I fell in love with these boys 9 months ago, and I am so confused as to what I should do. It's not like I'm in Korea, so there's not much I can do to help the situation, all I can do is voice my opinion.

I mean, if you want to protest, then do so, but keep the rest of the guys in mind, not just Jay. Protest for Jay in a way to show him and the other boys, love. They are in as much pain, if not more, than we are. I can't wait to see their comeback performance, because I want to see how they will function without their leader, I want to see if they'll continue to express their love for Jay through subliminal messages, or just out right be open about it.

I feel bad for them, because the fans are in control of their careers, JYPE is in control of their careers. Who said they had choices? They really don't, I don't believe it was Jay's choice to leave, not for one second...whether he was really pressured by JYP or just from the hatred of those stupid netizens, I felt that he was left with no choice. And how can you live your life if you can't make your own choices, and you have to let others do so for you? What kind of life would that be?

I just hope the guys are happy, or at least trying to be, in their current situation. My heart goes out to them, and I will always support them, I just wish I knew how.

I'm Crazy About 2PM's Second Track

I have to admit, I like this one better, becaue you can clearly hear and distiguish who's who in this song, and I really like the strong piano in the music...Plus, I always look forward to how they will perform this. But this won't be a title track, it is included in their full-length album, which I am looking forward to. But it makes me so sad to hear these songs and not hear Jay at all...It's like, I can't even enjoy it. It just seems so unnatural for him to not be a part of the group.

I guess I miss him even more because I just finished watching Jay, Khun, and Taec on Sang Sang Plus with G.O.D. There's 7 clips, and it reminds me of what I loved most about Jay, never really understanding what's going on because he doesn't understand Korean too well...LOL

Video teasers for their album has been released, I'm guessin they have a song called Heartbeat, and the whole point is for the guys to talk about what makes their heart beat, and Taec was the only one who mentioned all 7 members...he is so sincere that it's obvious he misses Jay like we all do.

Speaking of, his birthday passed recently, and I forgot to post this with my earlier post...it's birthday wishes to Jay from the guys, and I just thought they were so touching so I wanted to share it.

Only his friends could know him well enough to know how he's really doing, I like how the boys are so hopeful to see him again, to sing with him again...it just seems like he was vital in all their lives, that he's helped them all out in some way...It's just so sad. I really do hope they get Jay back, not just for us fans, but for the group as well. It's so obvious how much they miss him, and they always say they are one person, so how can the function if they're missing a body part? And Jay was their leader, so metaphorically, he's the head...How can anyone function without their head, that's not possible.

"Tired of Waiting" for 2PM to Comeback

This is 6PM's latest single called Tired of Waiting. I know, it's a little weird to hear them without Jay's soulful, smooth voice, but I guess we just have to take what we can get. 2PM had to move on, it's their career too, not just Jay's, and I'm sure they're missing Jay every step of the way. We've seen what they went through during training, and that was just a snippet of what they actually did together, or how much they bonded...Just because they've moved forward without Jay, it doesn't mean they want to, or that they're not wishing he was performing beside them...after all, he was, and is their leader...I mean, who could possibly replace him?

I'm sure they appreciate the HOTTESTS' support, but being one myself, I think it's time to just support 2PM without Jay, because this is not just about Jay. Jay's career was ruined by that netizen and who knows what else, how can we, as fans, endanger the rest of the members' careers as well? I mean, the protests were good at first, but I think now, the dust is settled, and we need to support 2PM...It's what Jay would want. It's obvious that 2PM doesn't feel right about Jay's absence, with the obvious signs at the Dream concert, but there's nothing they can do about it. Boycott JYPE, not 2PM, they're completely separate...I mean, go to their concerts, but chant Jay's name non-stop...take Jay signs, and act as if he was there as well, to me, it seems like 2PM already does that with their performance at the Dream concert.

The boys worked hard to get to where they are, and we can't let them down. They're hurting more than we are, and there are plenty of other ways to show our disappointment in Jay's departure from the group, but we shouldn't take it out on the rest of the boys...they've gone through enough.

Jay Will Always Be A Part of 2PM

The Dream Concert, that 2PM was meant to perform in happened yesterday, I think, and 2PM couldn't cancel like many speculated, but their performance didn't get aired, due to the requests from the producers of the concert. 2PM still performed magnificently, even though it was their first performance without their leader. I was sad to watch just the 6 of them, but the performance was very bittersweet...because they left Jay's track in as they all sang live, and no one sang Jay's part, which was sad because he wasn't there, but it was good that no one replaced him. The best part was at the very end of Again & Again, where they normally pose, they left a nice spot open as if Jay were there...that's how it was bittersweet. It's sad that there will always be an empty spot there, but it was sweet of the boys to acknowledge that Jay will always be a part of their group. You can say so much, without using any words at all...and 2PM did just that.

During their I Hate You performance, if you pay close attention to Junho, Taec, and Junsu at around 17 seconds, you will notice something significant, my niece pointed this out to me...Junho points up to the sky...so you think, he's signifying the number one, then Junsu shows two of his fingers (very discreetly by the way), and then Taec shows off his four fingers proudly...Hmm, 1+2+4...what does that equal? Who still thinks 2PM is okay with Jay's absence? Because at the very end, the boys don't say "Thank You" like they usually do, not in Korean, not even in English, they all strongly and proudly shouted, "Jaebeom!" Gotta love these boys.

Always Remember to Support Jay and 2PM!!!!

There's been so many new things unfolding, comments from Jay himself, his friends, JYP, even the 2PM boys have spoken, but it's hard to know who really is telling the truth and who is really speaking for themselves. A lot of fans don't know whether to believe comments left by Jay or Wooyung on their fan cafes, thinking it is the company's ploy to get fans to stop boycotting 2PM. I personally don't know what to believe anymore, I believe in what JYP said about Jay, I believe Jay left because it is what's best for him and that he needs the support from his family and friends, I believe he left because he had no choice (whether being pressured to leave, or leaving on his own accord), I believe 2PM is supporting Jay even though he left, and I believe in 2PM even though Jay is no longer a part of it.

You can read all the latest updates, and figure out for yourself which things you want to believe, I will always be posting my opinion on the matter because these boys are very dear to me, I will always support them no matter what happens, because I believe in them as a group, and as individuals. I will always hope and wish that Jay return's to be 2PM's rightful leader, but my thoughts are just that, hopes and wishes.

I don't want to do anything to hurt the rest of the members, because I love them, and they are suffering enough without Jay. This situation could've been avoided, but it happened, and everyone just needs to move forward. I choose to support all 7 members of 2PM, not JYP, not JYPE, not even 2AM...because 2PM were the first, and Korean artist that I will ever love.

I don't believe in the Korean music industry, allowing haters to control the lives of their idols...it is not a music industry, because they don't care about the music at all. They care about who they can take to the top, or tear down. Music is not about what someone said or did in their past, music is just that. You're supposed to be entertained, inspired by their hardwork, their talents, their music...

You're free to love or hate whoever you want, but it's when those emotions are acted upon that makes it a problem. If you love an artist, support them, if you hate an artist, don't support them. I mean, I have artists I dislike, but never could I be so cruel as to try to tear them down emotionally, or even ruin their career. I mean, look at the VMA's with Taylor Swift, I'm not a fan of hers at all, but she didn't deserve to be rudely interrupted by Kanye West when she was so excited about her award.

You're supposed to act on love, not hate. You're supposed to express love and suppress hate.

Do what you want, believe what you want...I will always have an opinion on this matter, and I will always express it. I may not be sure about how I feel about the situation or about the things that went down, but what I know for sure is that:

I can't say if the above message is true or not, but I will say this...If I had to choose to believe JYP over someone who is Jay's friend, then I choose to believe in this message. I can't believe JYP is such a liar! Believing in JYP means having to accept that Jay will no longer be in 2PM, and I only chose to accept that because I felt it's what Jay wanted...but choosing to believe this note means that it wasn't what Jay wanted. It means Jay wants to be in 2PM but isn't allowed to, it means the rest of the guys want their leader back but can't get him back, and it means JYP is one big, fat, liar!!!

I only, finally chose to accept 2PM moving on as 6 members because I thought that it was Jay's choice to leave, and that he wants to do what's best for his group, not that he was forced to leave. Even most of the 2PM guys are silently supporting the protest, so maybe it wasn't wrong after all. I mean, it's hard to tell what's fact or pure fiction, but the only harm that can come out of this is not supporting 2PM without their leader, Jay. If this note isn't true, then all of the members, including Jay should be able to publicly state that it isn't...But if we boycott 2PM, and they don't do well, it won't be because we don't love them, it will only be because we love them too much and want to help them by letting them have their leader back.

It's hard to decide on what's true or not, so you decide for yourselves, but right now, I'm taking this message as being true and am super pissed about it. At first, I thought the boycotting and protests were bad, but if we HOTTESTS are the only way to bring Jay back, then continue with it! I refuse to believe JYP from now on...if this isn't true, then Jay should step up and clear things up for us. If he wants us to drop it and let him move on, then I for one will do that for him...but if he can't even comment on it, then I will continue to fight for him...That was my gut instinct to begin with, until JYP's official statement was released, of which I thought was true...I can't believe I was deceived. Now Wooyung's cryptic message makes so much more sense, and having their very first single as his background music seems like he's really trying to tell us something.

2PM member WooYoung changed the main post on his Cyworld minihompy. He
wrote the words “死卽必生” and changed the background music of the minihompy to the instrumental version of the group’s debut song ‘10 points out of 10′. The phrase 死卽必生(사즉필생) comes from a part of General Lee Soon Shin’s famous saying ‘생즉필사(生卽必死) 사즉필생(死卽必生)’. It means “When you are set to live, you face death. If you are set to face death, you live”. This was adopted when he was in the MyeongRyang Sea Battle where he met victory with only 10 battleships over over
his enemy with 10 times of the number of battleships that he has. It seems
that WooYoung was using the phrase to talk about his feelings about the

2PM to continue without Jaebeom!

After much drama surrounding leader Jaebeom leaving 2PM, JYP has finally released an official statement regarding 2PM's future activities.

Unfortunately, 2PM will continue activities as 6-members, as JYP is stating that Jaebeom does not want to return as of now.

Whether Jaebeom not wanting to return is the truth or not, we have yet to hear. But as of now, 2PM will be 6 members.

Hello, this is JYP.

For the past five days we have listened to what many people had to say regarding the Jaebeom incident. We have listened to the rebukes towards Jaebeom, the rebukes toward our company, and many of you telling us to give him another chance has been carefully heard.

We have carefully and thoroughly discussed what the next moves are regarding our company, the 2PM members, and Jaebeom. Jaebeom has been receiving many encouraging comments from many fans, but his feelings about his wrong doings has still not changed. He still feels sorry and embarrassed for what he did and is not able to perform on stage. Jaebeom has pleaded to not cancel 2PM's activities which was the result of the sweat, blood and tears of the other six members, just because of what he has done. He has said this is the reason why he must leave 2PM.

I also agree with Jaebeom. The reason why i have not held on to Jaebeom is because if we look towards the life ahead of him, this will not be a big matter that will effect his whole life. Many of you are worried that he has wasted four years of training towards his dream, but i believe that training has not gone to waste, because if he grabs this chance to mature as a person, Jaebeom will be able to fly better than ever.

I believe that as harmful the words that came from Jaebeom were, telling him to immediately leave the country was no better. I am going to respect his decision / wish of wanting to spend some time alone, off the stage and if and when the time comes that he tells me he is ready to come back on stage and perform, it is my duty / role to do everything in my power to help him with this wish. When that day comes, I believe that's when your encouragements and cheering will truly help him. I am once again truly sorry and apologize for not being able to thoroughly take care of my artists. I will do my best in making sure things like this never happen again.

Park Jin Young has announced that 2PM will continue as 6 members without leader Park JaeBum. With 2PM promoting without JaeBum, fans have gone into a panic state and a further boycott.

International Hottests Will Not Budge!

Hottests from around the world have joined hands to take a stand against JYP Entertainment! On the 17th at around 8AM, the many international fan sites of boy group 2PM sent in a "International 2PM Fan Union Statement" claiming that they will not budge until they receive a quick and definite response regarding the situation, clearly emphasizing their huge disappointment with the blithe way the company had treated Park Jaebeom's withdrawal. I don't know how they got international fans to agree to this, but I haven't agreed to anything yet. I'm so torn about this, I have no idea what to do next. Okay, I did start liking 2PM for just one person, but I grew to love and adore them all...Jay wasn't my top favorite, but I respected and admired him for being the leader of the group.

I have been incredibly sad over his leave, but it's understandable, and I can understand that maybe he thinks he isn't strong enough to deal with the pressure, so he doesn't want to drag the rest of his brothers down. I know Jay cares for and loves those 6 boys very much, he was their leader, their hyung, how could he not? I feel we need to respect his decision to leave, and hope that he will be able to do what he loves again, some day...but at the same time, support his decision. I feel that his decision to leave was both personal and professional, and when your professional life starts to step into your personal life, you do have to take a step back to reevaluate the situation, to collect yourself.

This situation should've never happened, but it did, and now we just need to move forward, for Jay and 2PM's sake. I love Wooyung, Junho, Nichkhun, Taec, Chansung, and even Junsu, and I can't bare to see them move forward without my support. I feel that JYP did all he could in regards to Jay, because when it comes down to it, it was Jay's decision to leave, and he respected that, and I respect him for it. At least I know he loves and feels for Jay, but there wasn't anything he could do to make him feel confident in performing. It wasn't Jay's fault, because to me, HE DID NOTHING WRONG. There was nothing he needed to apologize for, it's not like he's Kanye West, okay? I love those 2PM boys, and they are very hardworking, they've already lost a member, they shouldn't have to lose their fan base as well...

HOTTESTS: I know you mean well, but if you are a true fan, you will support them in whatever decision each guy makes when it comes to 2PM. It's their lives, and we have to respect the decision, because they're doing what's best for them. What's best for Jay is to get away from a negative country and be with his family, to rebuild himself, to be stronger...What's best for 2PM is to move on, because Jay's career isn't the only career at stake here, there are 6 others lives involved, and the reason Jay left was so his group, his brothers, could move forward, so we can't hold them back. I think Jay would appreciate that we still have him in our hearts, and that we will always see him as 2PM's leader, no matter what. We should appreciate JYP for letting 2PM move on with just 6 members, because it would literally be a slap in the face if he replaced Jay just like that. We should be there for the rest of the guys, we should support and love them, as always. Don't let them lose us too!!!

On this note, I wanted to talk about another subject, I'm just going on a tangent here, but it's still related.

In practice, the right to freedom of speech is not absolute in any country and the right is commonly subject to limitations, such as on "hate speech".

The right to freedom of speech is recognized as a human right under Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and recognized in international human rights law in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). The ICCPR recognizes the right to freedom of speech as "the right to hold opinions without interference. Everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression".Furthermore freedom of speech is recognized in European, inter-American and African regional human rights law.

This amendment was made up for us to have a voice, not for it to be abused to do harm. I realize this online, that some people feel that just because it is the World Wide Web, they are free to do or say whatever they feel like, with no regards for other people. We have the freedom to voice our opinions on a topic, the freedom to express our emotions, that’s what I believe that freedom is for.

It definitely is not for people to scrutinize, criticize, or even bully others. I understand there are bloggers like Perez Hilton who says what he wants about celebrities and doesn’t care if it offends them, but those are his opinions…that’s fine. But it’s completely different to dig up someone’s past, take it out of context, and get a country to bash that celebrity for no reason. This is how this part of the blog ties in with Jay’s situation. Jay took responsibility for his actions and apologized for it, even though I felt the apology wasn’t necessary.

Some argue that Koreans are proud of their country, and were offended when one of their people said that “Korea is gay” and briefly talked about how he “hated Koreans”. The key point is that it was said between friends, it was on the internet, but it was a personal conversation between two close friends that understood each other. No one would’ve ever known Jay ever said that if someone didn’t dig it up. The only person to blame for this situation is the person that posted the statement, and yes, there is someone to blame, and it’s not Jay or even JYP. That person wasn’t blogging their opinion or even tried to inform anyone of anything, but they just wanted to cause trouble. That’s the only reason why someone would try to find dirt on someone.

The only thing S. Korea did was confirm Jay’s opinions from 4 years ago by their overreactions. Jay did the right, and noble thing, but S. Korea was unforgivable. I’m not saying the whole country, but 300,000 people petitioning for Jay to commit suicide, seems like it’s practically the whole country. Was that even necessary? It just seems like there are a definite 300,000 cruel human beings in this world that could possibly wish for someone to die when they didn’t even commit a single crime. There should be a law against these cruel acts. That is an abuse to the freedom of speech, and it should be a crime. The people in that country should’ve shown some understanding and mercy, but they didn’t. So Jay had no choice but to leave S. Korea, he was hated for no reason.

Well, to add on to that, some people feel that just by others posting things online, that means they have the right to say whatever they want to. The internet has no morals, no sense of right or wrong; it is the cyber world, but it’s more harmful than the actual world we live in. Children get exploited, predators find their prey, and people get bullied…Why is it more unsafe for a person to be on the internet, than for them to step out of their own house? Because humans are cowards, that’s why. We feel that it is easier to say or do things to someone on the internet because we don’t feel the repercussions of it, because words can be erased…but what about someone’s life? It seems with the internet, someone’s life can be easily deleted as a friend on MySpace. I mean that both literally and metaphorically.

Then there’s the other people who go on to others’ websites and just talk trash, feeling they could do or say whatever they want. But just because someone posts something on the internet, it doesn’t mean you have the right to plague their page with rude or disrespectful comments. That irritates the hell out of me when people do it to me or people I know. ACCESS TO THE INTERNET DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO HARASS PEOPLE!!! It is the internet, but harassment is harassment…It’s so hard to ignore those kinds of people because they’re ALL over the internet. I wish they’d have the same audacity in the real world, and see how they deal with the consequences.

We have freedoms a lot of people don’t have, and our freedom of speech is one of them, but is often abused. The internet is such a useful piece of technology, but people just choose to abuse it instead.

Freedom is:

2. exemption from external control, interference, regulation, etc.

3. the power to determine action without restraint.

4. political or national independence.

7. the absence of or release from ties, obligations, etc.

8. ease or facility of movement or action: to enjoy the freedom of living in the country.

9. frankness of manner or speech.

10. general exemption or immunity: freedom from taxation.

11. the absence of ceremony or reserve.

12. a liberty taken.

13. a particular immunity or privilege enjoyed, as by a city or corporation: freedom to levy taxes.

14. civil liberty, as opposed to subjection to an arbitrary or despotic government.

15. the right to enjoy all the privileges or special rights of citizenship, membership, etc., in a community or the like.

Philosophy. the power to exercise choice and make decisions without constraint from within or without; autonomy; self-determination.

Freedom does not equal abuse. One of these days, there will be legal action to the people who use their freedom of speech to cause harm; they won’t get away with it forever. The law will catch up to technology; I hope it does sooner than later.

Park Jin Young, “JaeBum is sorry to the Koreans who have accepted him warmly”

2PM JaeBum, who has left the group and gone back to the States, is very sorry to the Koreans.

Park Jin Young wrote on JYP Entertainment’s homepage on 10th September. He wrote about why he had debuted JaeBum and also how sorry JaeBum has felt towards fans and Korean nationals.

He wrote:

I have received much shock from what Jaebum wrote 4 years ago to his friend. Could it have been another celebrity, I myself would have felt much anger, resentment, and abandonment at his words. But I have known Jaebum for so long that those words are not surprising to me.

I already knew Jaebum was that kind of child.

When Jaebum first came to Korea 4 years ago, he was very rebellious and out of line. He laughed at Korea and belittled his fellow trainees, even going so far as to see me as ‘easy.’ I believe he thought that being a Korean celebrity was something to laugh at. He was a boy that wanted to b-boy in the streets. He fought with company employees, his dance instructors, and made threatening statements.

At times, he even said that he did not like JYP Ent., and would name another rival company, wishing to be sent there instead.

But what made us surprised even more was that when asked whether he had the guts to succeed, he said “We could succeed if we don’t receive JYP’s music.”

At this point, employees wondered why we were keeping such a rebellious boy.

This is why his words 4 years ago are not surprising.

Then why would we keep such a kid?

I love rebellious children. Rather than children that are nice up front but are calculating and evil behind my back, I love children that are rebellious up to my face. I loved the fact that he showed his emotions straight up. It gave me hope. Who would have the guts to utter such words to my face? To say that his failure depended on my bad music? I thought that it was funny.

I believed that rebellious children had too much energy, just no place to express that energy. Or they never met someone that would trust them enough to show them the correct path. I wanted to help this person go on stage and feel the energy and joy. As long as I could instill within him trust and love.

To Jaebum, there are only two types of people. His family, and those that are not his family. He loves his family more than I could ever know. The reason he talks about money in interviews is not to buy nice clothes, it is to pay back his family, who always works hard for him. That’s why he ran the path of becoming a singer.

He was rebellious, but he excelled in training.

I saw this and thought, if only I could make him think of my company, his fellow trainees, this company as his family. if only.

So one day, I told him “Jaebum, someone is not a family only because they share the same blood. Please open your heart to them first. Then others can be your family too.”

Through these efforts, he began to change.. He began to hug his fellow trainees, start conversations with company employees, and began enjoying his time on the stage.

He finally began to express his energy on stage and began to shine through singing and dancing.

I chose him as the team’s leader. The rest of the 6 really believed in him and followed his lead.

He always trained with them and always thought of his younger members before him..

After his debut, he felt a change in his heart at the news reporters and attentions that showed him in a positive light and began showing affection.

He was touched at by the hearts of his fans.

Good people, good friends, good fans… good music.. through all this, he began to change.

But as things began to go up, like a sad movie scene, his entry from 4 years ago was released.

He was so sorry. To his 2PM brothers, to me, to his company employees, to his fans.. and to nobody more than to his Koreans.

He thought to himself that if he stayed any longer, his brothers would only get more hurt. He told me he did not have the confidence to get up on stage.

I knew what he was saying too well to hold him back.

If I were him, I would have made the same decision.

And so he left.

His last email to me said “I’VE BEEN A LITTLE PUNK IN THE PAST. I JUST WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT IT WAS A LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE. IT MADE ME A MUCH BETTER MUCH STRONGER PERSON AND I’M THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME. REAL TALK.”

My heart was ripping. It hurt. But knowing what Koreans would feel at his words, an immense sense of betrayal, I could not say anything.

But what I can do for him is to tell everyone that he showed on TV is not fake. He might have been rebellious but never fake. He never hid his true emotions. He was always up front, straight up… and that is something that can never change.

I know the public and the fans and I am listening to your opinions. But the most important thing is that Jaebum is not 2PM’s Park Jaebum but a child, a teenager Jaebum.

I genuinely wish for you all to hold his decision true.

Okay, now I can figure out what to do...I'm still kind of sad, but at least I know JYP's side to it, so I'm no longer mad at him. I knew he had to have known and trusted Jay in order to put him as the leader of 2PM, I just need confirmation. If anyone knows Jay, it's gotta be him, they've been working together for as long as Jay was in Korea. At least I know how sad he was that Jay left, and that he knew Jay well enough to not put up a fight, but wanting him to stay.

Some fans have decided to boycott JYP and 2PM until Jay returns, and I admit, I really did consider this...out of anger, sadness, the shock...but now I know that doing that won't help at all. It's as bad as those anti-netizens posting those comments about Jay and taking what he said out of proportion.

WE CAN'T LET THEM WIN!!!!!

We need to be behind 2PM more than ever, letting those stupid people know that no matter what our idols do, we will still love them, because they are human beings, not people born to be perfectly entertaining, with no kind of flaws whatsoever. I know, a lot of people said that Jay would want us to support his group members. We can't let the rest of the group suffer, they're already suffering enough by losing their leader, their hyung...their friend, and brother. We as HOTTEST fans need to be there to support them, to show our love and loyalty for them.

4. Suggest these to 2pm-:

- The new leader should refrain from identifying himself as the leader during the greetings or he could label himself as 'asst leader" or "captain". The title leader rightfully belong to Jay.

- Leave a gap in the middle when thanking the fans after performances. It's to signal to Jay that that will forever be his place. It's up to him to decide when he'll reclaim that place and complete the formation.

- Support and encourage Jay.

So...what do u say about these? We should do something concrete to show that Jay will always be part of 2pm even as time passes by..

That sounds like a great idea, doesn't it? Makes me wish I thought of it myself...LOL. But it's all the same, we should let them know that Jay will always be a part of 2PM, whether he is physically there or not, and we know Jay will be following up on the progress of his group members, so he'll be able to see or hear that the fans haven't and won't forget about him.

It is sad that this happened, and I feel so bad for him, but I think we have to move on strongly, for 2PM, all 7 of them. It's not like Jay is gone, he's still here, just not a part of the group, but he's physically here, thank God for that. I'm glad that stupid and cruel petition didn't discourage him enough to listen to it. I'm glad the only thing he chose to do was to leave the group and go back home, to not burden the rest of his group, and to go and be the kind of man he wants to be without anyone giving him any slack for it.

How Can I Support 2PM Without Their Leader?!!!

Okay, you guys all know that I've recently fallen in love with my very first Korean group, 2PM, and I've been obsessively blogging about them. Well, I've been out of town this weekend, only to find out now that the lovely, adorable leader Jay is no longer their leader because of some comment he made years ago...I swear, certain people are harsh and have nothing better to do than to dig up stuff on people...

They act like he's a political figure and get so angry and overboard over something so silly. We've all said stupid things in our lifetime, but nothing that would cause you to leave something you love...people you love...You can read more info about it here:

First they bring up something Wooyung had said on TV that he apologized for, then Chansung littering...Why are people so mean and cruel like this? If you don't like someone, then don't like them, but don't put all your energy into trying to bring them down. This was Jay's dream, I'm sure those guys are like family to him by now...and now he's forced to leave. This is so sad, I really could cry.

How can I support Korean entertainment if they allow their anti-fans to bring an artist down from where he stands? They are basically letting the anti-fans control their industry? How is Jay supposed to stand tall as a leader with people giving him dirty looks or thinking bad things about him?

This is of course, my freedom of speech, and my opinion, and this subject literally breaks my heart. I've grown to love 2PM and the individuals in the group, and I can't believe they won't be the same again. The won't be, because Jay was their leader, rightly so, he belonged in that position and deserved to be there. They can't replace him, they shouldn't. They should leave 2PM as they are.

I'm just so pissed off at people...we are all entitled to our opinions, I say stuff like that all the time, but only because I'm a "nobody" that no one cares. Why do people have to get offended, take it literally, or bring it up to ruin someone's career? There are worse things in America with celebrities, but they're still celebrities.

Jay, come back to America, we'll love you here in spite of your flaws, because we're all human who make mistakes.

I'm incredibly sad and disappointed by the whole situation. I don't know if I can still support 2PM, let alone JYPE knowing that this all went down like this. I can't bare to see all 6 boys knowing their goofy leader will no longer be standing by their side.

Wanna Know the Real 2PM?

Well then, go watch Wild Bunny. It's their reality show...and they are not afraid to show you EVERY side of them. These boys DO NOT hold back, and I love it!!! The show allows us to see how real they are, that they aren't normal idols...they're just boys, who happen to be in a group, who happen to be ridiculously famous...There is nothing these boys won't do...and for a second there, I thought they had a limit...but I'm guessing, when it comes to goofing off, they don't...I've laughed so hard in the last few episodes...I just can't believe it.

This was from their most recent episode, they make a parody of Brown Eyed Girls "Abracadabra"...from crazy photo shoots to random games...these boys will definitely show you the extent of who they are. We know they have serious sides, but this show will show you their crazy side...I thought they were already pretty crazy...but I LOVE IT!!!!

On a side note though, because of this show though, some netizens had to point out how Chansung littered on the first episode of this show...First it was something Wooyung forgot to do, now it's Chansung littering...We all litter, we all make mistakes, we're all human. They're boys for goodness sake, they're not gods...Who said idols or celebrities had to be perfect? Not me, I expect them to be human and make mistakes...it's the perfect ones that I worry about. These boys are the most genuine, and down-to-earth boys I've ever seen. No one can say that they make a certain image of themselves just for TV, because these boys are crazy on TV. They want us to see the real sides of them, they don't want to hide or fake anything...The sad thing is, they constantly have to apologize for being who they are, which is so wrong. They shouldn't have to feel like they can do or not do certain things. I'm so sick and tired of certain fans nitpicking every little thing they do. Just because you're a fan of someone, doesn't mean you are allowed to expect anything from them. They're here to entertain us, and whatever they do beyond that is up to them. Leave them alone. It's not like they're doing drugs or doing anything bad...they're just being normal guys, and not being afraid to show it. They show us their insecurities, they let us know their hopes and fears, and I respect them for it. That's why I love them so much as a group, and as people...They're not afraid to be who they are, but they constantly have to apologize for things that people take the wrong way...because it's not good for business if they didn't...

The Key to Watching Thai Lakorns

I’m not claiming to know everything about lakorns, just imparting some of my knowledge, experience, and opinions from watching them. In order to understand lakorns, you have to know what the word means. A lakorns is what Thailand calls their TV shows/soap operas. While watching a lakorns, you have to abandon every sense of logic or common sense you have while you’re watching a lakorns, or else you’d end up getting high blood pressure, or breaking your monitor from all the frustrations. In spite of that, lakorns can be very entertaining, filled with drama, romance, comedy, mystery, the supernatural, and hot, I mean talented, Thai actors/actresses.

Lakorns have no gray areas. The good things are great, while the bad things are horrible. The female lead is referred to as the nangek (n’ek), and the male lead is the praek (p’ek). As a couple, they are called the pranang. You might come across the term “slap/kiss”, and what that means is the n’ek usually will slap the p’ek for something insulting he said to her, and the p’ek will follow up with a forced kiss.

Let me get a little sentimental before I continue, I grew up watching Thai lakorns, and it is part of the reason why I’m a hopeless romantic. For years, I watched the same type of story: Guy meets girl, they fall in love eventually, and they go through obstacles of people and situations before they get to live peacefully and happily together. No matter how the couple meets, when they do, it doesn’t take long before they fall in love. But what I love most about that is the kind of love the pranang have towards one another. It’s a deep, devoted, and sacrificial love. Granted, they’re not as trusting as they should be, which irritates the hell out of me, but that’s beside the point. They are 100% devoted to each other from beginning to end! Like in Ruk Ter Took Wan, Vhatin falls in love at-first-sight with Irissa and no does everything he can to make her happy, even risking his own health to help make her dreams come true. Then there’s Jai Rao’s Korravic, who was abandoned by Aoey, but even after 8 years, still hoped that she’d return and never stopped loving her. It may not be a realistic type of love, but isn’t it the kind of love we all hope for?

There are some things you need to understand about lakorns, so let me break it down for you, from the characters to the storyline. I’m currently watching a surprisingly interesting lakorn called Wong Wian Hua Jai starring Weir Sukollawat and Pinky Sawika.The lakorn is about how Thot (Weir) tries to help out his sister by marrying Bow (Pinky) but ends up falling in love with her. Bow’s boyfriend Pong cheated on her with Thot’s sister Nee while she was out of the country, Nee gets “pregnant” and becomes Pong’s wife. So Thot thinks that Bow is the third party in his sister’s relationship because of a misunderstanding and assumption, so he gets Bow’s parents’ permission to marry Bow and takes her to live with him on his vineyard. Meanwhile, Bow is trying to get over Pong thinking that Thot did something bad to her. Bow tries running away the first few times she’s living with Thot, but is unsuccessful and eventually decides to give Thot a chance. Thot thinks Bow is “the other woman” that is hurting his younger sister’s relationship, so he thinks that she’s that type of woman, but from spending time with her, he starts to genuinely fall in love with her. Things start to work out and they are about to officially get married, until Thot’s close friend and employee dies…soon after, Bow finds out Thot’s true motive in marrying her and leaves him. That’s the gist of the story so far, since it’s still airing, but I just wanted to use them as examples.

The typical characters in every lakorns is the pranang, their family members, a close friend (of the same gender, sometimes can be opposite sex), a person of the opposite sex that is obsessed with them (they are what the bad guys are called “rai” which literally means bad in Thai, male is p’rai, female is n’rai), and servants (cuz that’s how the wealthy in Thailand roll in lakorns).

These are different types of personality traits that the pranang has, they usually have opposing characteristics, but can have similarities.

nice and good but naïve and too trusting, or experienced and cynical
loyal to friends and family whether they deserve it or not
Daddy’s girl or Momma’s boy or the least favorite child of the parent
stubborn and prideful (both have this quality)
P’eks are aggressive with anger issues or very dorky
P’ek can be arrogant or the N’ek can be snobby
if the man has a strong personality, the woman usually have one to match
a good majority of N’eks are weak physically and emotionally who easily gets abused by everyone around her and will go to her room to cry…A LOT
there are some weak P’eks that gets beat up often
N’ek is submissive to everyone around her but the P’ek
selfless, always puts others’ needs before their own
the heartbroken P’ek is bitter, angry, and skeptical but the heartbroken N’ek is ignorant and oblivious to love
N’ek can start off strong-willed but can get weak as the story progresses

Pranang’s parents: Mother or Father is super strict and controlling or super supportive and understanding. Most Fathers are scared of their wives, and won’t step in when something the wife is doing is wrong unless it’s really bad. Sometimes the parents aren’t in the picture at all, then there would be some kind of parental figure.

Pranang’s siblings: Can either be good and supportive or just plain evil.

Pranang’s friends: They always have a best friend of the same sex, someone that knows the other pranang. For instance, in WWHJ, Thot’s best friend is Chai and Bow’s best friend is Kare, who automatically are disgusted with one another…for now. Sometimes, their close friend of the opposite gender can harbor deep feelings for the pranang but will end up with the other close friend instead.

Rais: They are both shameless and presumptuous, with that, I mean they always show up when the pranang are together and asks questions that they’ll answer themselves. The men are usually creepy and perverted and the women, let’s say they’re not traditional Thai women. They are always two-faced and always attempts to rape the pranang.

Now let’s get to the dynamics of the pranang’s relationship, not in any specific order:

they either initially love or loathe each other
the P’ek always tells the N’ek “I love you” (in Thai is “Phom ruk koon” or “Chun ruk ter”) first, no matter how long it takes because they fall in love first while the N’ek is in denial
when the P’ek says “I love you”, the N’ek doesn’t believe it
the P’ek pursues the N’ek whether she likes it or not, he practically turns into a stalker (the kind you want)
he pranang are the only two people in the lakorn that don’t trust each other even though the rais trust each other enough to work together to separate the pranang.
if the P’ek lies to the N’ek, the N’ek will get angry and ignore the P’ek, but if she does the same thing to him, he isn’t allowed to get mad and she will make him feel guilty for being the first one that lied
the P’ek always saves the N’ek, but she rarely appreciates it
the P’ek is a natural good guy that would mistreat the N’ek on a misunderstanding, but they still manage to fall in love
the P’ek usually has numerous women after him that he expects the N’ek to understand, while the N’ek has her really good guy friend that she never could fall in love with, but he loves her hopelessly which makes the P’ek jealous
if the pranang marries each other without love, they’ll eventually fall in love but sometimes won’t admit it until the very end, and by the time they do fall in love, something or someone gets in their way
even though the pranang love each other, one will always step aside if a third party asked them to
if the pranang get married at the beginning (for whatever reason), you can look forward to plenty of challenges to come their way
one of the pranang will have a conversation with someone that the other one will overhear, but they listen on the bad part and leaves after they’re hurt, not staying to hear the good thing the other person was trying to say
the pranang will always trust the rais and never believe the one they love until it’s too late
the N’ek always defends the p’rai when the P’ek is giving him a well-deserved beat down (half the time its because the p’rai said something bad about the N’ek or tried to do something bad to her) but the P’ek always tries to explain himself
the P’ek always walks in after a confrontation between the N’ek and n’rai, where the n’rai said something insulting, so he walks in to see the N’ek slap the n’rai and she just lets the P’ek believe the worst about her
the wealthy pranang most likely has a fiancé or girl/boyfriend in the beginning of the lakorn then falls for the other person while they’re still in the relationship, they don’t act on their feelings, but the N’ek is better at being faithful (emotionally) than the P’ek even if their significant other is cheating on them
the P’eks, however, will act on their emotions and feelings unless they’re really trying to be faithful. It’s not that the guys are unfaithful; it’s just that they’re meant to be with the N’ek. Love triangles just add extra drama.

I hope that’s given you some kind of understanding of the pranang’s relationship, so now I will continue with plot points and certain aspects that can be quite frustrating or confusing, but is a part of what makes a lakorn.

the pranang can work in the same company, they’re either on different levels in the office (and I don’t mean floors) or they’re equals
revenge lakorns: no matter who is getting the revenge, the N’ek always gets raped by the P’ek
Let me explain this concept, because I don’t want anyone to get offended. Everyone knows that rape is a serious and despicable crime, but in lakorns, when it comes to the pranang it isn’t. Some viewers actually hope for it, and we all refer to it as “r” or “rawr” instead of the actual word. A lakorn rawr is the heat of the moment passion between the pranang. The P’ek does it to the stubborn N’ek because he felt hurt or betrayed by the woman he loves, or sometimes because he feels so strongly for the N’ek even though she despises him. It’s hard to explain, but I can’t stress enough, rape in lakorns is a serious issue, except when it comes to the lead couple. It’s kind of something romantic, and the N’ek usually gets pregnant from it, because of the “Super Sperm” in lakorns.
one of the pranang will get amnesia, kidnapped, stabbed, or hit by a car
the pranang almost always takes a bullet that isn’t intended for them, half the time
only the pranang has the option of divorce, while the other characters stay married to their spouses, no matter how evil the other person can be
revenge lakorns: if the relationship started off with a lie, no matter how genuine the liar is later, the truth will come out before or at the wedding, but they still get married just so the spouse could mess with the liar
the most climactic or romantic moments happen in the rain
the pranang always gets drugged by someone
in the beginning of the lakorn, the pranang accidentally meet and find out they’re related, or fall in love and think they are related, or think that they’re related but still fall in love without acting on it. An example would be from Paul and Aum’s Sai Leurd Hang Ruk where they fall in love and get intimate, only to find out that they’re half-siblings(which they really weren’t cuz one of them was adopted)
I know, it might seem a little a bad twist in the storyline for dramatic purposes, but if you don’t think about it, it won’t seem gross. It’s not like watching two actors play brother and sister in one lakorn, then playing lovers in another, now that’s gross. In Win’s last two lakorns: Pbom Ruk Roy Adeed and Wang Nam Karng, he was “related” to the N’ek, but they developed feelings for one another because they were meant to be together, they just thought they were related. As long as I knew they weren’t related, I didn’t really care what they did.
Mother/Daughter-in-Law dynamic: N’ek can be weak and let her in-law abuse her or fight back. If the N’ek loved the P’ek, she would be submissive because she wants the mother’s approval, but if the N’ek married the P’ek for other reasons, she would be feisty because she doesn’t care (which is the case for Sapai Tornado, Sapai Look Toong, and Sapai Glai Peun Tiang)
There is the rare occasion where the mother-in-law loves the daughter-in-law more than her own son like in Khing Kor Rah Kah Kor Rang
the pranang hide their identity for revenge (Wong Wian Hua Jai) or love testing purposes (Fhun Feung)
the P’ek owns a vineyard, beach house, or island which is convenient isolation for them and their N’ek, to imprison or spend time with her
if the N’ek gets pregnant by the P’ek from the rawr or a willing, and he hurt her, she’ll let him believe it’s someone else’s baby (i.e. Hua Jai Chocolate and Hua Jai Sila, coincidentally, the titles have hua jai in them, which means heart, but the N’eks in them have no heart. The P’eks didn’t actually hurt them. The N’ek in HJC believed some lies and left the P’ek and kept his son a secret from him for 10 years!!!! The stupider N’ek in HJS left the P’ek just because he didn’t want to admit he was her childhood friend who was tortured and beaten by her relatives come back to get revenge on them. Anyways, those two girls are the most unreasonable N’eks to me.)
if one of the pranang has a kid, it sometimes isn’t theirs
if the P’ek is getting revenge on the N’ek, it’s usually for the wrong reasons and to the wrong person
revenge is sometimes taken on the most innocent and nicest person
one of the (or even) both pranang can die at the end
the calm before the storm: the pranang get a nice, peaceful time to fall in love, as soon as they do, something bad happens to separate them
one of the pranang can get switched from a wealthy family to a poor one (Din Neua Tong), or can get kidnapped and won’t find out their true identity until towards the end
the N’ek almost always is the “third party” to a relationship which makes the P’ek judge her and gets revenge for her “betrayal” or “interference”
This irritates me because it’s always the P’ek being mean without getting the facts or trusting the woman he loves.
one of the pranang will marry the other one for revenge against someone or against the pranang
one of the pranang can believe the worst in the other one even though they’ve never shown they have a bad side (like Prajan See Roong’s Plaifah getting dramatically angry with Tawan for sneaking a kiss during they play they were in together) or they can trust the other person completely and get blindsided by their bad side (Ruk Sorn Kaen)
the pranang’s lives are somehow connected or intertwined but don’t find out immediately: their relatives know each other (Ka Neung Ha’s Poom and Kaew, Poom’s cousin was engaged to Kaew’s older brother, and Poom’s ex-fiancé is Kaew’s close friend), they have a mutual friend, or an event ties them together

I’m not saying you have to watch every lakorn ever made, but there are definitely some worth watching. If you don’t understand Thai, it kind of sucks because there are few lakorns that have been subbed, or you can just watch it without subs, like me, and learn Thai along the way. Don't Miss 2PM's Wild Bunny!!!!!

2PM may be on a little hiatus from promoting their album, but they can still be seen and heard on their reality show Wild Bunny...Wild Bunny is nothing like Idol Show, there are no cute games or cute idols, it's just 2PM being as real as they possibly can be. So the premise of the show is that the guys will get to do things they always wanted to do, but couldn't because they're famous idols.

The first episode started off with the boys' first mission, to sneak out of their dorm without their manager knowing. It's absolutely hilarious to see how they try to do this...and you'll get to see more of the boys' true personality. That's what I love best about them, they're so real that we fans get to know them without having to actually know them.

They also got to leave with one of the biggest awards they could get for their second single...well, they actually got it for Again & Again too, but that's besides the point. They got to leave on such a good note, to rest, or do whatever it is they want to do.

Well, they will be at the Dream Concert, don't forget, with Super Junior, Big Bang...They have side projects, so be on the look out for them!!!

Well, first of all, 2PM just won their 3rd award at MCD today for I Hate You, so congrats to them...but this is the news I will be discussing briefly.

2PM, who has released songs “Again and Again” followed by “I hate you” and been receiving tons of loves, will take a break. On July 19th will be the last stage.
On July 9th, a close source to 2PM revealed “This coming 19th, 2PM will end the activities for their 2nd single on SBS Inkigayo stage ”

Their 2nd single “Time for change” was launched on April 16th and after 3 months of doing many activities, they will put an end to the promotion.

This source also added “After ending all promotional activities, they will prepare for their next album as well as taking a rest” and “Some members have their individual activities planned to show.”

Last year, 2PM debuted with splendid acrobatic choreography in “10 points out of 10”. This year, they have swept 1st place on various music shows and online music charts through their 2nd single “Time for change”.

I am so sad to hear this, but our boys are in desperate need for a break...They've been working non stop since they debuted, and they've been pushed even harder for their second album. It's not like we'll never get to see them again, just not as a group for a while, because they will have their individual side things they do...But at least we have their 3rd album to look forward to!!!

Sadly, that will mean that my blog can no longer be a 2PM sanctuary, until there are real news on the boys. I'll make sure to update if any of the guys are on anything, or the progress of their album, etc...

2PM's I Hate You is a Big Hit!

2PM does it again, this time, winning the #1 spot at MCountdown for their newest single, I Hate You (Niga Mibda). Too bad the boys wasn't there to accept the trophy, because they are currently in Thailand promoting their Thailand edition cds. I wish they would be there when I go. Man...The boys are getting busy busy busy. They will also be at this year's MTV Asia Music Awards in Malaysia...even though the spot was originally for the Wonder Girls, it's a good thing those chicks are touring in the U.S. More exposure for my boys.

I wanted to share some cute videos. Here's one of Wooyung doing the Mnet Song Ranking, but spoofing the Scandal shows, which we know both of his 2PM brothers have been on. But don't even think about putting my Wooyung on!

Also, here's a cute clip from Big Bang's YGLive, just shows how popular the guys are. We have seen Dae on Star King with Nichkhun, maybe that's why he knows who Nichkhun is...or maybe he's just a fan of the boys, so much so that when Jay was singing Nichkhun's part, he noticed.

It's so cute already...I get that he's less recognizable than Nichkhun, that just makes me feel sad. I bet he wants to have a girlfriend, he just can't because he's too popular. He can't even roll down a car window without girls running to it...Poor Khunnie...but good for Taec, I guess. This one isn't as awkward as Khun's cuz Taec is normally goofy and outgoing, so he makes the girl feel comfortable from the start, he broke the ice just by being himself. I'm sure he's nervous, but he's hiding it really well. He's the most outgoing person in his group. She is one lucky girl, I have to say...It's the first day as boyfriend/girlfriend and she already is introduced to the fans and to 2PM. It's cute how 2PM is helping Taec out with his "girlfriend." I love to see the shock on the fans faces, it's hilarious...I'll post the subbed clips if there are any. This is a definite must-watch with or without subs!!!

2PM's Scandal: Taec's on the Hot Seat

It hasn't even aired yet, but there's plenty of talk about it. You'd think people would get used to this Scandal show by now, since Nichkun's aired a few weeks ago...but nope. Well, I think Taec is either a very affectionate boyfriend, and he's taking this thing seriously...or he's just really into being as real as he possibly can be for this show...because he's gutsier than Khun. He takes his "girlfriend" out in more than just public places...Khun let Minsu go on stage during his appearance at GagYa with Chansung...but Taec took his "gf" during a 2PM concert, with all of 2PM on stage. I read that the fans were so shocked, or possibly outraged, that some fans left once Taec brought her on to the stage, and 2PM had just finished performing. That's a little rude. I'm really interested in seeing how this will all work out, even if it is scripted, I think we get the chance to see how the guys would act with their girlfriend...Taec even involves 2PM!!! I definitely have to see this one!!!

I believe in Khun's genuine actions towards Minsu when she was his "girlfriend", I believe that he genuinely tried to be a good boyfriend, but his schedule and popularity just wouldn't allow it. I didn't believe in Minsu's sincerity...or maybe it was just bad acting. I don't understand the purpose of this show, but I take it as a way to see what kind of boyfriend these guys will be...I believe that 2PM try to show us who they genuinely are when they are being filmed, just like they say. The only way for us to know 2PM is to watch them on their shows, and they all try to be themselves so that we can get to know them better. But dang, Taec is not holding back. I mean, I'm not his biggest fan or anything, but I'm feeling a bit jealous with those pictures...Makes me want to go out with Taec too, LOL.

The funniest thing happened, I was watching It's Time 2PM, but this time it's Chansung, and he confirmed what I mentioned in my previous post. Just watch what he says about what 2PM means to him...I just thought it was interesting, so I decided to share it. Kinda funny, I'm not Chansung's biggest fan, but I'm slowly starting to like him, he confirmed my speculations about how the group feels about one another. Make sure to watch the second clip once it gets uploaded.

Sorry, my jaw literally hit the floor when I saw this, so I had to post it for everyone to see...who knew, well...I knew he had great arms, but daaaayyyyyuuuuummmmm. He looks gooood.

I like this performance because of their outfits and camera angle. I've gotten used to a lot of things now, and I guess I like these outfits because they blend in better as a group. The whole time, I thought the point of their new image for this album was to be more unified...but then they go and dress Khun like a nerd. This time, granted, no one should ever wear tassels, but the gray blends every one in perfectly. Wooyung is still in some black, so I'm happy with that. The camera man seems to be much calmer with this recording, he doesn't seem to be that out of the place. I guess I can't win though with their choice of clothes. At first I didn't like that their Again & Again outfits looked too similar that I couldn't tell the guys a part, but now I wish their I Hate You outfits were more similar so no one would stand out. It just doesn't seem like their style...but whatever, what do I know? I mean, even if the boys performed in the clothes they wear to rehearse in, I would still be their fan...I don't think the clothes really matter, because it is what's under the clothes that counts...Get your minds out of the gutter...

Also, I've been reading different comments about 2PM lately, about some people standing out more than others, like Khun of course...or some getting noticed more now because of their new look for this second album...I just feel that Khun was the more well known and popular member of the group because of the different exposure he's had, but honestly, if it wasn't for someone's smart idea, then no one would be pulled into wanting to know more about 2PM. I don't think it's because he's more handsome or more favored, I think it's because he stands out. For me anyways, the only reason why I gave 2PM a chance was because Khun was Thai, I was never really a fan of Korean music...I mean, I liked some Big Bang songs here and there, but I never really listened or literally obsessed over any Korean artist like 2PM. I think that having them host Idol Show Season 3 was genius, because that was the best kind of exposure the guys could get to reveal their individual personalities and who they are as a group...and even though some members get more exposure than others, I still know who I love, whether or not I get to see them often or not. I think it's because 2PM is slowly getting put out there, like they were in hiding for so long or something, they were overshadowed by a lot of big named groups, so they were kind of waiting in the shadows for their time to shine...and I believe that that time is now. They've developed such a huge following, and will so many different shows they've been on, they let the fans get to know them so much better. I think the more we get to know 2PM, the more we will grow to love them all. It doesn't matter which fan loves which member more...all that matters is that 2PM has fans...Their very loyal Hottest fans, and I am proud to be a member. There are fans for each member of the group, so as a whole, we make up Hottest.

I did start off loving Khun the most, but after seeing each member's individual personalities, I can say that Khun is no longer my number one guy, that spot belongs to the ever so adorkable Wooyung. The guys are all different, and have different strengths and weaknesses, but as a group they balance each other out. To me, they're the perfect group. I love their friendship and brotherhood, and they all have very different, yet significant roles in the group...that they can't do without one person, it just doesn't seem right. Or maybe I've just been so used to seeing them as a group, that when they're not together, it's just weird, and I'm sure the guys feel that way with each other too.

2PM Finally Beat Super Junior!!!

This was their second performance of I Hate You, and their outfits definitely look better this time around, at least Khun blends in a little...and Wooyung looks hot in black...But back to the real point, I think the most surprised ones were 2PM, they were going up against Super Junior at Music Bank, and normally when they go up against the many SuJu, they fall short...But not this time, the boys take their 7th award for this year, and completely beat Super Junior to get the number one spot! I believe all the 2PM boys were shocked, but we only get to see Junho's reaction. I'm so proud, the boys are finally getting the credit they deserve for all their hardwork and dedication. They finally made it!!! If they can beat Super Junior, I'm sure they will have many more wins along the way, leaving other artists in their dust. Congratulations 2PM!!!!

2PM's New Song and New Look

They finally debuted their second single, Niga Mibda aka I Hate You...as well as create a brand-spankin' new look for this song. I'm sorry, but I have to rewatch this performance, I was too distracted by their outfits to even focus. So let me say what all of you will be thinking...

Why are Junsu and Junho wearing those hideous masks on their chins?
Why is Khun dressed like someone that should be working in an office?
Why did they dress Khun so differently from the rest of the group that he stands out in a bad way?
What's up with the heavy eyeliner?
What's up with the strange black leathery stuff?

There, I think that's it. You know I love the boys, and I can't say one bad thing about them...but seriously...whose idea was that to dress them like that? I know the boys have style, and I can tell, that that's not it...or maybe it's just me? I mean, they are still so hot...but I'm totally not feeling this new look. I love that their faux hawks no longer exist, I love Khun and Wooyung's hair especially...It's just...the rest is too distracting.
On a lighter note...have you seen It's Time 2PM? Well you should, especially if you would like to get to know the boys better, because they are asked a set of random questions, and swear to tell the truth. So far, I've seen the subbed clips of Jay and Junho, waiting for Taec's to be subbed, but it gives great insight on the boys...Because of this show, I now love and respect Jay...He's such a confident person on stage, but that's it. He really doesn't think too highly of himself, and it's not that he's modest, but it's because he isn't as confident as he should be. He might come off as cocky or something on the shows or interviews, but he's really not. I had no idea he had that kind of complex, but it didn't bother me, it actually got me to like him. I always saw him as very innocent, and he is...you just have to watch it. I guarantee you'll love Jay...I'm pretty sure the other interviews might get me to change my mind on the guys I have no kind of feelings towards...I'm looking forward to seeing Wooyung's, cuz that boy is goofy as hell, but he is super shy and reserved when he's not around his bros.

I just wanted to talk about it myself...because even though I wasn't there, I had to have my own concert experience...I put the VCD on the big screen, and had the surround sound on...as soon as Ice came on, I screamed...actually, I couldn't stop screaming for a while, it was totally silly, but still. I just couldn't believe Ice had all that dancing in him...he's like me, horrible freestylers, but can be taught...LOL.

It was kinda funny cuz I was so into Ice, that I ignore the people they show in the audience...side note: the camera man was really all over the place, it was so hard to focus on Ice during performances, cuz once I was able to, the camera would go elsewhere...Oh, back to the audience, during Bauk Dai Mai, they went into the audience to this guy, and I was wondering why they did that, only to realize it was his buddy Peck Palitchoke, wearing a hat...who looked good by the way...I already knew beforehand from someone who attended the concert that Peck was there, but it was still surprising...Oh, he did a cover of Golf-Mike's Inspiration, I'm guessing it's theirs, and he danced too...Not the typical Ice dancing, it was G-M's style, and it was awesome. He actually did the dance smoother than those boys...but I have to give credit where it's due, I personally don't like that duo, but they are some pretty good dancers.

My favorite part of the concert has got to be all the ballads he sang back-to-back, because most of my favorite songs are his ballads. Not that I don't like his dancing, I loved it, but the camera was going crazy with that, so it was hard to focus. I loved his duet of Yah Len Tua with Pinky than his duet with Chompoo Areeya, well, it's cuz I like Pinky more anyways. She was cute, and those fans screamed so loud for her, I was shocked by their shock...I wasn't jealous at all, because Pinky has Aum, LOL. Although I didn't understand the talk show portion, it was still good to hear Ice sing those random songs with Galamae...and I loved his version of Got's Ruk Khon Ying Gwah Krai, that man has the voice for look tung, but I'm glad he sings the way he does.

He started the ballads with Khon Nah Sohng Sarn which is my favorite song of all-time...for Ice anyways, and he did a special version of it, which I loved...then his medley of Glub Mah Dai Mai, Kae Punha Tua Eng Mai Dai, Khon Dee Dee Tummai Mai Ruk, (My favorite Jai Rao song:)Jai Chun Pen Kaung Tur, Peaun Sanit Kid Mai Sue, and Perhaps Love (this time with Rose Sirintip). I swear, if I was there, I would've melted, those are all my favorite songs...It showcases his vocal ability, and I just love watching him sing.

Then his dance medley with his music video n'eks. First was Yardthip for Chob Khon Jao Choo, and I have to agree, all she did was walk out and strike poses, she didn't really do much than that. I mean, she was great in the video, but shouldn't even bother with the stage, but Ice chose her for whatever reason, and I will respect his decision. Then was I See U with Peak...at least her dancing wasn't as bad as the video's, but still, I didn't focus on anyone but Ice, unless the camera forced me to otherwise. Lastly was Pei for Kon Jai Ngai, and I'm sorry, but during some moves for that dance (which is a very cute dance), she totally looked awkward and bow-legged at times...But I guess that portion was necessary...Don't have anything against the girls, I just preferred to see Ice...I guess the part of the concert where the 5 female guests dance to the Wonder Girls' Nobody was cut out. I was kinda looking forward to seeing how they did that, but I guess they only left Ice parts of the concert in his concert VCD, which makes complete sense.

I was waiting for this for what seemed like forever, and it was well worth the wait. My only regret was that I wasn't financially ready to go see the concert in person, but I love the concert...I watched it 2 times since I got it yesterday...and I swear, if I had nothing to do all day, I would just be in my room watching it over and over...I'm so proud of my Ice, he finally got his own solo concert...and he's been in Europe recently, on a small tour, then off to Malaysia to film some drama I think, I'm not too sure...But again, any Ice updates I get are all from www.konmunrukice.wordpress.com so she's more reliable than me, I just try to relay the info as best as I can.

This is the boys' 2nd Mutizen award and their 4th award total. I'm glad to be around this time to watch them as they accomplish their dreams. I am so glad they are finally getting noticed and no longer the guys hiding in the back, applauding for the winners. I'm glad that they've been winning all these awards lately, and hope that they will get even bigger awards in the future. Again & Again is sticking to people's heads, and 2PM isn't going anywhere!

Cool stage for this performance. Love them in black and blue, especially on Wooyung. Congrats to my boys for winning the number 1 spot at MCountdown. This is an amazing feat for the boys. It may not be one of the biggest awards in Korea, but these are all awards that they've earned and won. They have come a long way from being the band that no one knew existed to the band that everyone can't help but notice. I'm so happy for them, and I told you, the awards will keep coming. They may be young, but their dedication to their work is admirable, and these boys give it 110% every time they perform, and in everything they do.

The Nichkhun Girlfriend Controversy

It's just for a show, but they act so well, that it seems real. No wonder fans are hating, but still, he's an Idol, not yours to keep. He's there for us to look at and be entertained by, and whatever he chooses to do with his life is his business. If that were real, so what?

What I see from it is a sweet and loving boyfriend, and any woman would be lucky to be Nichkhun's girlfriend. When the time comes, I will still support and love him 100%, because I love him as an entertainer, a musician, and not hoping that I will some day marry him.

Geez, I'm a fan too, but that doesn't offend me whatsoever. Real or fake, it's not my business or my place. His personal life is his business, his professional life is mine.

Any fans that do get offended, I have this to say to you:
GROW UP AND GET OVER YOURSELVES. If you love your idol, respect them as an idol, and not your personal friend or boyfriend or whatever you hope he could be to you. Support him as an artist, nothing else. What he does with whom in his personal life is his business...it's called a personal life for a reason.

It makes me so angry because I don't want these guys to feel like they can't be in a relationship because of selfishly obsessive fans. They shouldn't be afraid to hurt their fans' feelings over something so petty like that. Any kind of fans have this unconditional love and support for their celebrities, and they shouldn't be afraid to do something because they're afraid of how their fans might react. If it makes them happy, then do it, it's their lives, and we are all just along for the ride.

There seems to be a Chinese series and lakorn hiatus for me, so I have nothing else to blog about but 2PM, but it's fun to, so I'm doing it.

The boys' before their performance, totally goofing off, cuz that's how they roll. Wooyung goofing off and doing his cheap dance with the cheers of his 2PM bros.

Chansung crying after they've won their very first award. They could hardly believe it, but they're so happy. Khun's being such a sweet older brother and wiping Chansung's tears. They're all taking care of their magnae (youngest). You can tell they're grateful.

Congrats again to 2PM for winning the number one spot at Inkigayo! They looked genuinely shocked, and I can understand. They do their best and hope for the best, so of course it would be shocking to find out they beat out all those people...I'm so happy for them, it's well-deserved, and like I said before, this is the beginning of a great year for those boys. I just wish JYP got them their own show too, because they are hilarious to watch. I keep having to search and wait for new or old things to watch just because I miss seeing them on things like Idol Show. This had got to be their 10th performance or something, but I'm still not sick of the song or the performance. 2PM Hwaiting!!!

After weeks after their comeback and all their great performances, 2PM finally gets the #1 spot for their hottest single "Again & Again." Looks like the change is definitely good, although I don't quite understand the fake tattoos, but whatever works, I guess. I'm so happy for them, all that work has paid off, and I'm glad they're getting recognized for their work...I love these boys, and they deserve to be #1. They did so well last year with the Hottest Time of Day, so I'm glad they're finally winning an award...and know that many more will come...I guess 2PM used to just be under the radar, and now, JYP is throwing him in everyone's faces. Good for him, they should be known. I really love them in red and pink.

2PM Mic Scandal

Korea seriously has some mic issues...I don't know about other artists, but it's been a problem for my 2PM guys. These guys do acrobatics in their performances, and they have 7 members, how is it that they have only 2 hands-free mics for them? I thought the boys holding their mics during their performance was bad, because it's not as loud as the hands-free mics...but this just goes to show how bad the mics are in general, with Taec doing his rap, and his voice cutting in and out...Luckily, their leader Jay thinks on his feet and helps Taec with his rap so that the lyrics can be heard. But seriously, after this, they need to invest in some microphones for all of their artists...I've always known that 2PM sings live, but this little incident just reinforces that fact for others...And even though their performance wasn't as smooth because of the mic problem, you don't see them stressing...Taec continued to sing whether he was heard or not, and it showed that they have each other's backs, and they are one great group of boys.

I Miss My Ice

An old interview a good friend sent to me...I get to hear Ice speak English for the very first time. Since this is a TVB8 show, he has to speak in English. He has this cute accent when he speaks, it's just too adorable...and he sings his special version of Poor Guy (Kohn Nah Sohng Sahn) which is one of my favorite songs from his album. Sadly though, he'll be in Japan for a bit, then when he gets back to Thailand, he'll be working on his new album...So fast, I know, but I love it!!! He may not be seen for a while, but at least he's working...so that's good. I can't wait to hear what he has coming up, he seems to just do better and better with each album...and he doesn't stick to the same type of music, it's different, but still sticks in your head.

Ice recommends Memory Heart for everyone to listen to, because not only was it his idea, a very cute one, but it's a very fun song as well. If only we could carry a memory card around to save the significant moments of our lives, and look at it whenever we want to. I adore this man, and miss seeing him...One day, I'll will get to meet him. But I felt like posting this in case anyone misses Ice like me...

A Happy Birthday to him, whose birthday is a day after mine, and exactly 20 years old today. I think he's the group's goofball. He's the one I look to do something hilarious, and he never fails me. The girls love him because of his lips, which is understandable. He has such a smooth singing voice that I'm totally in love with. He's also a very great and talented dancer.

He sounds very good in this song, and Taec, the group's rapper, doesn't sound bad either.

Everyone knows the beloved Thai Prince of JYP. He was born in Thailand but raised in America and now lives in Korea with his group members. He seems to be a jack of all trades, appearing on numerous tv shows, especially on the hilarious Star King, where he seems to be able to do everything that he was asked to do. Gotta love this boy.

This show will prove that woman from all over the world know and love him.

The one member who beat 6500 other contestants to be noticed by JYP. He's sings, dances, and is adorable doing all of it. He's well known for his eye smile, and he happens to be very mature for his young age of 19, and also very intelligent. Oh, he supposedly looks like Rain, but I think he's much cuter and more likable...no offense to Rain fans.

Born in Boston, Masachusetts he is the second oldest member of the group at 21 years, and the group's rapper. He's a dancer only when he's taught how to, just like me...LOL. He also acts as Nichkhun's translator because he knows both Korean and English fluently, and I believe which has helped him and Khun to become pretty close during their time in training for 2PM.

The leader of the group, born and raised in Seattle, Washington; and auditioned for JYP in L.A. He's also the oldest member at the age of 22. He's the multi-talented leader, he sings, dances, and raps all very well...that's probably why he is the leader. Surprisingly, he is a very big goofball, I love watching him dance to girl's songs, because he does it so very well that it is hilarious.

The youngest of the group at 19, but only a month younger than Junho. He's known to me as the one who eats the most in the group, so much that the other guys have stories about it. And on most of the Idol Shows when he's eating, we can see for ourselves how much he eats. He's the other rapper in the group, who is also a good dancer. He's also a member that I have no feelings towards, but like him because he's a part of 2PM. He is known as the General, but I have no idea why.

Junsu the group's vocalist, even though I'm not a fan, I do know that his voice is much stronger than the other guys. He's the same age as Taec. He's the other member I have no feelings towards and only like him because he's in 2PM.

I guess that’s how Korea rolls…2PM already has had 3 comeback performances, and I still love watching and hearing them perform the song. I’ve read that this performance is the best out of all three…and I have to agree, because everything about this performance was perfect. They had no mic issues, the lights worked well, the stage was big enough for the guys, their outfits looked better, and the camera angles weren’t too crazy…

This was their Music Bank performance, you judge for yourselves which one you like most. Either way, they were great, and continue to support 2PM! Hwaiting! LOL

I’m biased, and if the Wonder Girls can have their own show, why can’t 2PM? They’re hilariously entertaining to watch…and I’ve missed them oh so much since their time on Idol Show ended. All I can do is watch my favorite clips over and over, until 2PM resurfaces and does more than performances, although, I don’t mind them at all. I just hope the second single they release is Doraoljido Molla – I Don’t Know if You’ll Come Back, it’s my second favorite, that’s why.

Sick of Drama

I've been watching American soap operas, and lakorns for my whole life, but it's just been getting on my nerves lately. Like, I should get used to the story lines, but it has gotten very old and irritating. I won't even get started on the soap operas and "no one ever really dies", or every one will have at least slept with each cast member of the opposite gender...how the women who want to have children can't, but the women who have one night stands with men that they're not with are automatically pregnant...how the good things are kept as a secret for at least months to a year, and the bad things are automatically revealed getting you to hate someone you once loved...how they make you fall in love with a couple, let you watch them for 2 or 3 years, then break them up so horribly that you feel personally heartbroken...how the children age at least 5 years within a few months...So mad at my soaps right now man.

Anyways...back to my topic of lakorns. I don't even know where to begin. Of course, we all know the typical lakorn story lines, which are characteristics that every lakorn has...But I swear, do they think they will get bad ratings if they write in a good nang ek (female lead)? I'm so sick and tired of those weak, defenseless, and stupid n'eks that I want to scream...Lakorns consist mainly of those kinds of women, and I'm so sick of it...Where they grow up getting abused by people they grow up defending. They don't trust the only ones they should trust. They will be in the same room as a man who has tried to rape them, on numerous occasions. They will sacrifice their own happiness for people who don't deserve it. They will be mean and always slap the men that truly love them, that would always be there for them...they won't even trust them, but those men will still love those stupid girls unconditionally. The misunderstandings are the worst!!!! Either the p'ek (male lead) or n'ek will overhear the bad part of the conversation and totally hate the other person, or think they're bad...

Well, the first lakorn that made me angry was Hua Jai Chocolate, cuz Aom was so stupid. She misunderstood Mos, and left him herself, even after they confessed their love to one another and slept together. Why is it that the woman always never trust the men they claim to love? What the hell? Then she ends up pregnant (of course), and wants to tell him, but by the time she does, he's already able to let her go...and she lets him go...He did nothing wrong, and even tries to get her back, but she's cold to him. She was mad that he wouldn't leave her alone, then when he does, she gets mad still. Had the worst ending ever!!! Then there's Hua Jai Sila with Bie and Fang. Sila gets abused so badly by his step mom that it caused his "death". He comes back years later for revenge, but is still in love with his only childhood friend, Mintha. She has a feeling that he isn't who he says he is...and the first thing she does is go tell the people that hurt him when he was a kid. The same people that she watched abuse him, and that abuse her, even as an adult...Granted, he wanted revenge on her sister, her aunt, and cousin, but he wasn't doing anything to her. He really loved her, and did everything to show her, but she refused to listen. She was so hell bent on making sure those evil people knew who he was that she would always misunderstand and slap him for no reason!!! Kaew Lom Phet was ridiculous too. But it wasn't overboard, they just dragged it on for way too freaking long...and the n'ek went from being someone who could stand up for herself to the weakling victim.
NOW, Meu Nang with Kwan and newbie Teng, has totally pissed me off. I think this lakorn takes the cake for world's dumbest good guys. There's the stupid dad who doesn't trust his daughter because of the evil step mom and her daughter, the p'ek who automatically misunderstands the n'ek, then the stupid n'ek herself. It was one thing for the dad to be blinded by those evil people, he believed their lies, but for Mae to not have the evil people in her ears, she sure is dense and dumb. She just has no trust in Pimpope whatsoever. Yeah, he did kidnap her, but he later realized she wasn't as bad as he thought she was, and has been trying to protect her ever since. He even admitted his feelings for her, but she's so retarded. He's made it more than clear how he feels towards her, but she is so stupid, I swear. She always takes things the wrong way. Like, he has to engaged to her half-sister because his father wants their money to help get himself out of debt. Pim only agrees because he had no choice, he doesn't even like the psycho rapist girl. It's like, no matter how many nice things she sees Pim do for her, she gets blinded by all the misunderstandings. She overhears Pim talking to his dad, and his dad yelling at him about marrying her sister so they can get out of debt...and instead of reacting like a normal person, thinking that, "That's why he's marrying her, his dad forced him to..." She thinks all he wants his her dad's money, which is stupid, because if that were true, then he can just marry her and get her dad's money...Why would he marry someone he doesn't love for money when he can marry someone he does love for money...So gay...Oh, I'm not done...Then, when Pim brings her dad to the hospital because he was lucky enough to have driven by after his accident, she automatically thinks Pim tried to kill her dad for his money. Well, luckily, that prompts Pim to tell her he wouldn't kill the father of the woman he loves...but she looks at him like a retard...The worst part is after her dad goes home, this evil guy goes to her in her dad's room, manhandles and tries to rape her...but she's unconscious...Luckily, Pim arrives in time to stop him...but then this other evil guy does some kind of voodoo to Pim which makes him try to kill Mae's dad. The dumb girl is unconscious, she wakes up in time to see what Pim is doing...but trying not to, and automatically calls him murderer. Even her evil sister didn't believe Pim capable trying to kill their father, but Mae still argues with her. She even defends her evil step mom instead of realizing that Pim could not hurt her father, even after he told her himself. Every time something happens, she jumps to the worst conclusions...

With women like that, I don't understand why those nice guys are so devoted to them that they'll risk their lives for them. There's a saying that ugly people need love too...well, I believe stupid people don't deserve love...I mean, most lakorns are like that, which makes it so hard to watch sometimes...but I have to watch it...It's like a horrible addiction. It's not like the acting is bad, it's just the writing. Ugh! I don't know how much of this kind of stupid drama I can handle.

There are other kinds of dramas than the constant misunderstandings and mistrusts between the pranang (main couple). That's why I prefer comedies, but even in those, there are still frustrations to have to sit through.

If the pranang get together at the very beginning, and get married, look forward to boat loads of misunderstandings about infidelity. The wife always gets raped by the husband, which seems okay in lakorn world, but a crime in the real world. She gets pregnant, and right when the husband changes for the better, she leaves him. She takes all the crap from the beginning, but chooses to leave when things get better. If the pranang meet and dislike each other, they'll grow to love one another, and take forever to finally get married in the end. It goes between two extremes, like, the family is either super supportive of the couple, or super against them. Not to mention the men and women who come into the picture to complicate things. The n'ek never likes seeing or getting touched by the p'ek, but will go anywhere with the creepy men in their life. The p'ek can be a jerk sometimes, or all the time, but at least he doesn't hide it. But the women always trust the so-called nice guys who are really perverts. I can go on and on about lakorns and their typical story lines, I mean, us sarnies have devoted an entire thread to it.

Just once, can't they have some better writing? No one is really that stupid, seriously. It's like lakorn characters have no common sense or good moral judgment. I'm tired of watching the pranang misunderstand or abuse one another, unless it's like Sapai Glai Peun Tiang, then it's okay, cuz that's just fun to watch.

That's it...I just hope Meu Nang gets better. Or I swear I will stop trying to watch lakorns, they are getting on my last nerve. I don't think entertainment is supposed to be so frustrating. It's supposed to be entertaining, not get you angry for the rest of your life...There are just some characters or lakorns I can't let go of because they're ridiculously dumb. Shows are supposed to get you away from reality, deal with someone else's drama, watch something unrealistic...but damn, with lakorns like that, I'd rather deal with my own life and drama...I'm gonna end up with a tumor or something from all these frustrating shows.

2PM Has Come Back!!!!

Again, I feel like the camera man has no idea what to do when it comes to 2PM performances, it's like he doesn't know who to focus on. The boys were great on stage, how I wish I was there...and the fans chanting were so great. I'm glad the boys have that kind of support in Korea. Again, all their training wasn't in vain. Because no matter how much they move, they sound flawless, even if someone was a little off, I didn't notice, because of their stage presence. When you watch them, they just look so perfect, with every choreographed move, and their voices weren't even shaking as much as their bodies were, so that was great. Forget what I said about Khun's hair, seeing him perform here just reminded me of how adorable he still is. I also think his hair is starting to grow out to. Note to Korea: When it comes to 2PM, you should have better mics. They move around so much, that they need more stable mics, because they sound so well live...but the mics ruin it for them. They all look great, even better looking, but again, it was hard to focus my eyes.

At least they released a dance version of their video, which I'm grateful for and love, because we get to see the dancing more clearly. Good job 2PM!!! Keep it up.
